Hong Heonbo (홍헌보) is a Brazilian-Korean singer-songwriter and actor. He is best known as a member of Anomii, formed through the reality competition program Into The Spotlight. He made his solo debut with the single "Please Don't Forget Me" in 2022.

Early life[]

Hong Heon-bo was born in Fortaleza, State of Ceará, Brazil on November 14, 2003. His mother, a half-Chinese Brazilian, worked as the manager of a beachfront hotel, while his father, a Korean immigrant, worked as part of a government-affiliated cultural organization with headquarters in the city. Heonbo initially wanted to become a basketball player growing up, but quit after developing a passion for music- something that he and his mother initially fought over as the latter disagreed with his artistic endeavors.
In February 2010, for the birthday party of a childhood friend in Seoul, he performed a cover of S&P's "Do You Even Know What True Love Is?", which impressed the guests. In 2013, he sung an acapella version of the Brazilian national anthem for a school ceremony that was attended by hundred guests. However, he was not only a great singer at a young age, but also a songwriter whose messages were already mature for his young age. In June 2014, following the national tragedy that was the sinking of MV Sewol, he was inspired to write a song titled "Flock Together", which was about the hope that souls who unfairly lost everything will ascend to a better place and paid tenfold for the goodness they shared to the world.

In January 2019, Heonbo was announced as a contestant of Winnie Studios' K-pop survival audition program Colors, which aimed to end with the formation of two project boy groups managed by different veteran solo artists. Unfortunately, he did not make it far into the show, being eliminated in the second ranking ceremony. Afterwards, he joined Fame Entertainment as a trainee and became part of their pre-debut team B0Y, which unfortunately disbanded without releasing anything due to financial struggles exacerbated by the immediate economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on small K-pop companies.

2021[]

In May 2021, Heonbo was revealed as a contestant of reality talent competition SOL Puzzle, in which he and 23 other male idols and musicians competed to secure a spot in a six-member project boy group that will debut globally. In the 1st Round, he prepared an individual performance of Winner's "Really Really", beating out contestant Bong Baekhyun in a 1v1 match. In the 2nd round, he covered Red Velvet - Irene & Seulgi's "Monster" with Kim Dogeum, Roveno Wang, Abe Hiroyuno, and Yoon Dongjae, but placed 5th and was eliminated from the competition after failing to rank in the top 14.

2022[]

In March 2022, Heonbo independently released his solo debut single "Please Don't Forget Me", a ballad song about the aftermath of a break-up. This was followed by his second single, "Sculpted By The Sculptor", in August 2022.

2023[]

Sometime in February 2023, Heonbo competed in a Brazilian reality talent search program as part of a dance troupe, where he was able to advance to the semi-finals before being eliminated.

2025[]

In 2025, Heonbo competed in the survival audition program Into The Spotlight. In the Individual Evaluation, he performed a solo cover of Jungkook's "Standing Next To You", receiving perfect 3-Stars and retaining it for the Signal Song Evaluation. In the Girl Group Song Battle, he performed LE SSERAFIM's "Crazy", and was involved in a feud with the other four contestants Benjamin Castro, Kim Sungwon, Dong Shunyuan, and Ren Nguyen after the four, especially Castro, felt like he chose them because they were easy to compete against for the individual rankings. However, the conflict was eventually resolved diplomatically, and much of the group even developed a close friendship with one another. In the Position Battle, he performed the Rap position song "SNOB!" by Lady Ruby, Shin Wooseong, and Sukima. In the Creative Concept Battle, he performed "Ms. Doctor" as the group's main vocalist, and had the 2nd most individual votes among all 20 contestants. In the third elimination round, he ranked 1st for the first time, becoming the center of the final Signal Song performance. In the final episode, he ranked 2nd place with 1,084,327 votes, debuting as part of project boy group Anomii.

Endorsements[]

In November 2025, Heonbo was appointed as a new brand ambassador for JBL's Wireless Headphones. In April 2026, he was selected as the new brand ambassador for Gong Cha Korea, with his standees being displayed in various branches in South Korea and beyond.

Personality[]

Hong Heonbo in 2026

The uncontested "all-rounder" of Into The Spotlight, people knew Heonbo was a lock for the debut group the moment he performed. He could sing, dance, rap, speak multiple languages, but that wasn't the biggest thing he specialized in- It was being a strategic and natural leader. As someone who has previously experienced failure multiple times and has tried his best to successfully achieve his dreams of being an idol for so long, Heonbo is used to the competitive nature of survival shows and thus knows how to pull off a group performance. This reflects in Anomii, in which he ensures that the group stays focused and can keep up with rehearsals, while also looking after the wellbeing of each of his groupmates. While he can come across as serious and a workaholic, he just happens to be a hardworking person who is loyal and will offer you his unconditional love and compassion once you've gained his trust. However, there may be times where he pushes himself too much out of a desperation to perform well. This negative trait, combined with his tendency to bottle up his emotions to appear confident, can result in tendencies to have quiet breakdowns. However, when this happens, his groupmates always to be there for him, the most frequent of which is his fellow 03 line member, who he relies on for brutally honest advice.
