Hanayeon (한아연), also known by her full name Kim Han Ayeon (김한아연), is a South Korean singer and actress under Highline Media. She is a member of the 9 member girl group 9XIMES, its subunit 3XIMES A, and a former contestant on We Are Forever Icon.
Early Life[]
Hanayeon was born in a rather prestigious background. Her father, Kim Yeongyu, is a singer who has had songs chart on the number 1 spot, earning him a lot of reputation. Her mother, Namgung Ji, is a well-known business woman, participating in many different meetings and was even a member of the Ministry of Health and Welfare at one point.
Her parents decided to name her "Han Ayeon", because they wanted to have her stand out from the crowd, and be unique in her own way. Hanayeon, however, wished to change her name because she did not like her name, as she found it weird compared to others. Her parents said for her to not do it, as they wanted her to be different.
Career[]
2022: We Are Forever Icon, acting debut[]
Sometime in January, she was revealed as an official contestant on the show We Are Forever Icon. She was unfortunately eliminated in the second round, placing 36th overall.
On March 31, she made her official debut as an actress with the movie No Matter What You Say.
2023: 9XIMES[]
On April 1, she was officially revealed as the 3rd member of 9XIMES.
