Han Yuriy (Korean: 한유리; Russian: Хан Юрий), also known as Yura (Юра), is Russian-Korean singer and songwriter under Luna Kyrgyzstan and TECO Entertainment. He was a member of LuckyDice (ЛакиДайс) before his departure on December 29, 2021.
He participated on the survival show Dawn of Teenagers 2 and ended up ranking 9th overall, making him the final member of Euphonious.
Background[]
Yuriy was born on June 12, 2000 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan in middle-class family, as son of korean businessman and russian teacher. As a kid, Yuriy wasn't interested in music at all, his biggest hobby were sports, especially football, which was his main after-school activity. Yuriy's father saw in him idol potential, but he didn't wanted to train singing and dancing. When Yuriy got a little bit older, he started to travel to Korea together with his father, who had business trips there. In Korea he caught basics of Korean language and slight interest in k-pop, but he didn't wanted to train singing and dancing yet. Yuriy's interest in k-inspired music started to develop in 2017, he decided to start train to sing and dance, but agains his father's opinion, he wanted to be idol in Central Asia. At the end of high school he joined a k-pop dance covering team, who even planned to debut as k-pop inspired group in Kyrgyzstan, but they have disbanded shortly after, because of some members leaving to Kazakhstan. Yura did same, he left to participate in casting for Kazakh survival show - Project X, hosted by JUZ Entertainment. Yuriy failed to qualify for the show and returned to Bishkek, to focus on his education. In November 2020, Yuriy heard about castings for new boy group, formed under Luna Kyrgyzstan. Yuriy decided to try and he passed the casting, becoming one of 5 members of new z-pop boy group. After 8 months of training, on June 13, 2021 Yura debuted as sub-vocalist and main dancer of boy group LuckyDice (ЛакиДайс).
Career[]
Just like other members of his group, Yura is also a songwriter. On October 18, whole group went on hiatus because of 3 other members of LuckyDice being staff in new survival show - Arena of Hope: Royal Feast. On November 2, he was announced as contestant of new survival show - Dawn of Teenagers 2.
In the finale he ranked 9th overall, therefore making him an official member and final member of Euphonious.
