Ha Jiwon (하지원) is a South Korean trainee under Bee Entertainment. He is one of the hosts of the upcoming talk show Talk Talk Trainee.

History[]

Early Life[]

Ha Jiwon was born on April 7th, 2007, in Busan, South Korea. Jiwon’s interest in music and performing came from his idolization of his older brother Jihoon. Their parents enjoyed musical soundtracks and Jihoon would often learn songs and perform them. Jiwon wanted to be like his brother, so he often participated in Jihoon’s performances as a background performer. Jiwon asked to be enrolled in piano lessons because Jihoon played the violin. He tagged along with Jihoon to youth acting lessons at their local theatre starting in 2014. Through the acting lessons, Jiwon befriended a few other children who took dance lessons at a studio near the theatre. He dropped out of the acting lessons to take dance lessons.
When Jihoon was accepted into Bee Entertainment in 2017 and moved to live with their aunt who lived in Seoul, Jiwon grew a bit distant from him. He continued his dance lessons, and in 2019, Jiwon was selected for his first solo competition routine and won first place in his category at five different competitions. During 2020, Jiwon developed an interest in idols as competitions were cancelled. He and Jihoon bonded over this shared interest.
In 2022, Jiwon was accepted to a high school in Seoul, and his parents moved to Seoul with him. When Jihoon debuted in VALERIAN in early 2023, Jiwon was spotted at their debut showcase. In late 2023, Jiwon auditioned for K-pop cover group k-GENERATION and was accepted. His first public appearance with the group was for their New Year’s performance, where he performed in a cover of “But I Like You” by BOYNEXTDOOR. Jiwon received immediate recognition from fans for his energetic dancing and rap skills.
Jiwon auditioned for several companies in late 2024 and received offers from a handful of them. He decided to join Bee Entertainment because he had a good understanding of how the training system worked due to Jihoon. He left k-GENERATION to focus on training.

Pre-Debut[]

Jiwon was announced as a part of the SAPPHIRE BEES in January 2025. He joined alongside Park Mihye and Tanabe Miyu. Jiwon began training in December 2024, but his official announcement was delayed due to Miyu having visa issues.
Bee Entertainment encouraged Jiwon to audition as a host for SGA IDOL’s upcoming trainee-based talk show Talk Talk Trainee. After a few rounds of test filming, Jiwon was chosen as one of the show’s hosts. The producer chose him because of his natural charisma, friendliness, and determined attitude.
