Hyuneo is a South Korean singer under S2 Entertainment. He is a member of Call me up.
Pre debut[]
Early life[]
Lim Hyun-Ki was born in Gangnam, Seoul to a rich family in 2007. His mother owned a fairly large business and his father was popular in the music industry.
At an early age, Hyuneo attended his father’s gigs. He’d stay up late watching his father and his band perform unreleased songs and projects just for him. His love for music came from his father, he thanks him for inspiring to be a singer and for being a role model for him.
He went to Hanyang Elementary School and then to Joongdong High School. At school, he’d form a band called ‘FORM.’ The group played at multiple school showcases and talent shows, they once even opened their school’s graduation ceremony.
He always wanted to be an idol, his mother once quoted that he’d been dreaming to be once since 5.

Debut in TXT ME PLS[]
6 months hiatus[]
The TEXT ME boys were out at a meet and greet in 2021 when Readies, (haters) started chanting homophobic slurs and accusing Hyunki of bullying them in middle school. He broke down in tears during the meet and greet and got escorted off the site.
A day after the incident, S2 Entertainment released a full apology and message the Hyunki wrote, then broke the news that he was going on a 6 month hiatus along with a ban from all events for the next 7 months.
After the hiatus S2 Entertainment released a statement that Hyunki will go on another 6 month hiatus after he was accused of sexually assaulting a child despite him being 15 and under the age of consent at the time. Hyunki wasn’t See for a whole year before their comback, and he wasn’t seen at any concerts and promotions.
Hyunki then went on another 2 week hiatus in 2022 because of mental health.

Personality[]
Hyunki is described as an outgoing and energetic person with his friends but extremely introverted and paranoid about when he’s out in public. He often finds himself having a controlled panic attack at meet and greets. His members described him as flirty and bold, not caring about what people say. He also gets uncomfortable easily.
On stage, Hyunki portrays different personalities. In the first album era, ‘messages from the clouds’, he had a sweet and soft personality. In the second era, ‘pop my bubble b*’, he was seen as a cocky but bubbly guy and in the most recent era, ‘tooth rot.’ He’s seen as tough but obsessed with candy as in every performance he’s dressed in full dark colours has a sweet in his mouth, dyed long hair, head full of pastel hair clips and pastel multi-coloured braces.
However, Hyunki says that "the person you see on stage is completely unrecognisable off stage." He says that his voice changes pitch off stage. In some blogs, it was revealed that he has several lip, ears and nose piercings. Staff say the he only thing he has left of his persona is his braces and sometimes his clothes.
