HYPE Labels Japan (Japanese: HYPEレーベルズジャパン) is a Japanese entertainment company. They are a subsidiary of HYPE. HYPE Japan is home to boy group WE:FIRST, girl group =HEART and soloist N-LO.
History[]
2017-2018: Establishment, WE:FIRST[]
On October 17, 2017, HYPE established its Japanese branch HYPE Japan and announced that it plans to launch its first group the following year.
On December 8, 2017 Star News reported that HYPE Japan would be debuting their new boy group in November of 2019.
On March 26, 2018, the "HYPE Japan Audition: One Fall" were announced. Auditions were held in 6 cities across Japan and lasted until the end of May. By the end of July casting had been complete and training began at the beginning of September.
On November 20, 2018 HYPE Japan debuted its first group called WE:FIRST.
