━ HEART2HEART

HEART2HEART (하트투하트) is a seven-member boy group under Picture Music. Originally as six, the group debuted on February 15, 2016 with their first single album, "Let's Love".

In 2021, a new member was added to the group, Minho on April 11 after becoming the winner of the 2021 reality survival show, LOVE CALL Project.

Their group name "HEART2HEART" symbolizes how they all want to be a group that makes music from the heart in order to illustrate their immense love for their fans. With their music, they hope to capture their fan's hearts and make them feel loved.

History[]

2016: Debut with "Let's Love", fandom name reveal, comebacks with "All About You" and "Talk To Me"[]

In late 2015, it was revealed that Picture Music would be debuting its first ever boy group. Following the sudden disbandment of girl group, EVERWEISS the same month, the news received heavy backlash from fans. Many felt betrayed since the disbandment was announced without any explanation and felt as if the new boy group was just replacing the girl group completely.

No other information was given after until February when the six members consisting of Kyubin, Fang, Eunhyeok, Luck, Hanseul, and Yanlin were suddenly revealed. Several teaser pictures and concept photos of the boys were posted and the group went on to visit various variety shows to promote themselves. The group officially debuted on February 15, 2016 with their debut single album, "Let's Love". Although music videos and content from the group were posted, coming from a small company, the group was unable to promote at various music shows due to their company not being able afford a spot. As a solution to still being able to perform in front of an audience, the group performed at public venues and did frequent busking performances in public.

A day after their debut on February 16, the official fandom name and colors were revealed by the boys themselves during their VLIVE. Their debut ended with mediocre results due to the company's lack of promotion of the debut itself. Despite the fan's complaints for more promotions, they were given no answer. The group only ended up promoting for a couple of weeks, their songs never entered music charts at all, and fans only grew angrier with the lackluster debut.

A few months after their debut, it was announced that the group would be making their first ever comeback during the summer. The comeback was described to be a bright, and fun comeback that was perfect for the summertime. The group made their first comeback on June 21, 2016, with their second single album, "All About You". The release garnered little attention due to the the lack of promotion and the music video received criticism for its low budget and quality. The company also received more criticism for the clear favoritism within the group and the lack of promotions once again.

The group's promotions during the summer went on until mid-July before it was announced in mid-September that the group would be making another comeback in the last half of 2016. On November 19, the group made their third comeback of the year with the release of their third single album "Talk To Me". The comeback received mixed reactions from fans due to the sudden concept switch which was deemed "too different" from their innocent love concept.

2017: Mild success with Love Is A Delusion[]

After a restless year filled with unmet goals and slim achievements, things seemed slow with the boy group which was unexpected in their label's eyes. The group celebrated their one year anniversary together by hosting their first ever fansigns and going on a live with their fans. In the aspiring rookies' eyes, they were filled with determination and high hopes to achieve success in the future.

Fans couldn't understand why the general public were not paying attention to the boy group. The core fanbase of the group bragged how "flawless" the group's discography was being for a rookie and how the concept literally fit to the standards of the netizens. Though it was still not enough.

After the group's one year anniversary on February 15, no other news or announcements of a comeback were given. The group barely had any activities in the first half of the year except for the members being more active than usual in the group's social media accounts. It wasn't until July 9, that it was announced that the group would be coming back with their first mini album, Love Is A Delusion on July 29. The group followed a 20-day scheduler where teasers and concept photos were also released. When the music video was finally released, the comeback received the same low amount of attention. It wasn't until their music video suddenly went viral after a reaction video garnered attention. Many found the storyline present in the music video where the members were portrayed to be "delusionally in love" to be relatable and hilarious. The views on the music video steadily grew, even becoming their most viewed music video in the process.

They continued to garner mild success from the attention, attracting new fans and listeners as a result.

2018: Red String Of Fate[]

On April 3, the group released their second mini album, Red String Of Fate. As a way to gain attention again, the music video this time was the sole focus. In the video it featured two of the members being connected together with the infamous red string of fate while the rest of the members were onlookers of the entire fiasco. Initially fans were delighted with the release and the traction continued to grow steadily but despite the different concept and intricate story, fans were left to find out that the group would only have one release the entire year despite the growing attention on them. Fans saw it as the group's chance to finally shine but nothing was done about it.

Seen as a wasted opportunity, the original attention for their lovely concept was overshadowed by the enraged fans who only wanted the best for their favorite group but were blindsided by the company's "lazy" actions of handling their own group.

2019: First tour[]

In mid-2019, HEART2HEART's first tour was announced and it was found out that it would strictly only be held in South Korea. The news received backlash from international HEART2U's online who wanted to have the chance to see them for once. Soon after, a statement from Picture Music was released stating how due to "special circumstances" the group wouldn't be able to tour out of their homeland. The tour went okay but not good enough, with multiple venues only managing to sell out half in total. The tour lasted for the remainder of the year before concluding in October.

2020: My Serenade, indefinite hiatus[]

Picture Music announced that the group would have another comeback in late 2019 but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was canceled until further notice and the group went silent for the first half of the year. In early March, it was announced by the company that the group had been working on a full album due to the delay. Furthermore, no news or information about the anticipated comeback was given.

On May 10, it was revealed that the group would be coming back with a mini album once again instead of a full album titled, My Serenade. The group had their first comeback on May 30, 2020 but despite their efforts the release wasn't able to receive any traction, and HEART2U's were turning their backs on the group due to being deceived once again. Using damage control to seize the backlash, the company gave a statement on an issue following the end of the promotions for the comeback. Soon enough, the group went silent for another year and during their silence, it was reported that the group was currently on an indefinite hiatus for the time-being.

2021: LOVE CALL Project[]

Unexpectedly, during the group's hiatus, a new reality show titled LOVE CALL Project was announced and began airing on TV. The first episode was aired on February 14 and several episodes were later aired until the show's finale on April 11. The show was revealed to be a survival show, starring seven aspiring trainees housed under Picture Music who had to face challenges and compete for the chance to debut. The winner of the show would debut as a new member of HEART2HEART. In the finale, it was revealed that the winner of the competition was Ju Minho. Despite the show's ending, no further news was posted and fans were left wondering when the group would make a comeback with its newest member.

But Minho's official introduction was posted on the group's official YouTube Channel and although the addition of a member was expected to be taken harshly, fans of the group immediately fell in love with Minho's personality and charm. Shortly after the post of the introduction video, the group became inactive again on social media and didn't partake in any other activities for the rest of the year.

2022: Exo Planet 999, Tainted Heart, Road to Legion, Road to ZERO[]

The group was still radio silent even after the new year but on January 14, Fang and Hanseul were confirmed to be contestants on the new survival show, Exo Planet 999. The company received more backlash from fans as they wanted the group to have a comeback already.

Prior to the show's airing, Hanseul left the show due to unknown reasons and was replaced by another trainee soon after. During the second episode, Fang is seen shedding tears after talking about the group's struggles together as he revealed that they were on the brink of disbandment. In the finale of the show, he was announced to have ranked eighth place, ultimately becoming a member of H6bble. He later withdrew from his original group temporarily in order to focus solely on his activities as a member of the new survival show group.

On September 28, numerous sources reported that the group would be making a comeback in October, marking the end of the group's two-year hiatus. It was announced that it was unclear whether or not Fang would promote with the group. Shortly after on September 30, it was later confirmed that the group would be releasing their first studio album titled, "Tainted Heart". It was revealed that several producers and artists present in the entertainment industry partook in the album's production and that Fang would rejoin the group to promote during their comeback.

On October 11, the group officially had their comeback with their first studio album titled, "Tainted Heart", along with the album's respective title track, "Puppy Love". The album wasn't a huge success but it still did better than their previous singles. The group achieved their first ever win on October 16, 2022 on Hallyumak.

News that the group would be going on a "Queendom"-esque survival show broke out and fans hoped for the group to achieve success while on the show. In mid-November, Mnet announced that the group would be competing on the boy group survival show, Road To Legion. which began airing in January.

In December, Eunhyeok was confirmed to be a contestant on Vistamp Entertainment's new survival show, Road to ZERO. The announcement received huge backlash from fans since many believed it was unnecessary for more of them to go on a survival show. After his elimination from the show during the third round, he returned to his group and resumed activities.

2023: How To Mend A Broken Heart[]

On February 10, it was announced that the group would be making a comeback on February 19 with their second studio album titled, "How To Mend A Broken Heart" in celebration of their seventh anniversary together as a group. Despite the comeback being promoted and content being released, the company released further statements about how the comeback would continuously be delayed. A month after the announcement, it was reported that the album's release had been canceled due to unknown reasons.
