Kim Jae-Min (Korean: 김재민) also known by his stage name GEMINI (Korean: 쌍둥이자리) is a South Korean rapper, songwriter and producer under HYPE.
History[]
1994-2017: Early life and joining HYPE[]
Kim Jae-Min (commonly known as GEMINI) (hereafter known as GEMINI) was born in Seoul, South Korea. His family consists of his father and mother, he is a only child. He became interested in music around the age of 12 when his father introduced him to the boy groups 7pm and FINEKIZ, he fell in love with these groups and their music.
GEMINI started to get into producing music at the age of 16 and made a couple songs that he would then show to his parents. His parents were extremely proud of him and encouraged him to pursue his dreams and they encouraged him to apply for a producers position at a company called HYPE. When GEMINI auditioned for HYPE the staff could clearly see that he had talent in producing music. HYPE offered GEMINI a contract and with his parents permission signed under HYPE as a trainee producer. GEMINI was quickly promoted to being a full time producer soon after.
2017: Debut with "Know Me"[]
On January 23, 2017, GEMINI made his solo debut with his first single "Know Me".
On August 10, 2017, GEMINI made his first comeback with his second single "Legacy" in collaboration with Brazilian musician and DJ, Alok.
2018-2019: LMLU, "Take Me Home", DALLA! DALLA![]
On April 7, 2018, GEMINI released his first studio album LMLU (Let Me Love U) with the title track of the same name.
On March 12, 2019, GEMINI released his third single "Take Me Home".
On September 2, 2019, GEMINI released his first EP DALLA! DALLA! with "Down" serving as the albums title track.
2020-2021: "나는 아이콘이다 (The One)", Fake[]
On April 13 2020, GEMINI released his fourth single "나는 아이콘이다 (The One)".
On August 9, 2021 GEMINI released his second mini album Fake with the title track of the same name.
2022: Loop In Blue, GEMINI World Tour 2022 'Blue Loop', "Conmigo"[]
On March 12, GEMINI released his first mini album titled "Loop In Blue" with the track "BLUE" serving as the albums title track. "BLUE" features k-hip-hop artist D!D!.
On May 10, GEMINI announced his world tour GEMINI World Tour 'Blue Loop' and began on June 9 at Seoul's Olympic Park KSPO Dome.
On November 23, GEMINI released his fifth single "Conmigo".
2023: Inside Out, GEMINI 'Inside Out' Tour 2023, "Run It Back", "Ex-Mas"[]
On July 21, GEMINI released his second studio album Inside Out along with the announcement of his first European tour GEMINI 'Inside Out'.
On September 30, GEMINI announced his sixth single "Run It Back", it will be released on October 1.
On December 19, Yunsae released a winter digital single in collaboration with GEMINI titled "Ex-Mas".
