GEATS (기츠) is a five-member boy group under Big Hug Music (formerly Vistamp Entertainment).
The group officially disbanded on January 30, 2023, as three members (Gayong, Shinichi and Kyujin) contracts were terminated with the company.
Kyujin, Shinichi and Xiaolin officially joined Big Hug Music on February 7, 2023 and it was announced that the group would be re-debuting as a five member group.
History[]
2022: Debut with Into The Illusion[]
On August 1, 2022, the agency confirmed that their new boy group after REVICE would be preparing to debut in early November 2022.
On August 15, 2022, Hayeon was introduced as the group's first member, followed by Kyujin on next day, then Shinichi, Gayoung and lastly Sechan on August 19.
On November 10, 2022, GEATS made their debut with their mini album Into the Illusion.
2023: Re-debut, agency change[]
On January 20, 2023 GEATS officially disbanded as three members terminated their contracts with Vistamp Entertainment[1].
Kyujin, Shinichi and Xiaolin officially joined Big Hug Music on February 7, 2023, and it was announced that the group would be re-debuting as a five member group with two new members[2].
2023 (2): "DOVA", The Calling[]
On February 10, 2023, Big Hug Music confirmed that GEATS are preparing to debut under the label and are set to make their debut sometime in May. The groups debut was pushed back into June due to scheduling conflicts with other HYPE artists.
On May 26, Big Hug Music announced through the groups twitter[3] that GEATS would be debuting with their first single named "DOVA" on June 16.
