4 Girls, 4 Seasons! Hello, we’re Girl’s Season!

—Girl’s Season

Girls Season (여자 시즌; Yeoja Si-jeun) is a South Korean girl group consisting of 4 members: Viola, Juni, Sandy, and Daisy. The group officially debuted on August 31, 2018 under MNH Entertainment with their debut mini album, First Bud. They disbanded after 3 years on October 21, 2021.


History[]

Pre-Debut[]

On August 13, MNH Entertainment revealed that they would be debuting their newest girl group This announcement was followed by the reveal of members every day, starting with Sandy Wong on August 14, Juni on August 15, Viola on August 16, and Daisy on August 17.

2018: Debut with First Bud, Fandom Name, ‘tis the…[]

On August 31, 2018, the group released their debut album titled ‘First Bud’. They released the music video for their title track, ‘Head On’ the following week.

On November 14, the group announced their fandom name to be LEAFLET.

On November 23, the group announced a special holiday mini album, ‘tis the… for release on December 14.

2019: Pretty Girls Don’t Get Hurt, Japanese Debut[]

On April 15, MNH announced Girls’ Seasons first ever comeback ‘Pretty Girls Don’t Get Hurt’. The following day, they released a promo schedule. On April 17, their concept photos were released. The following day, their first MV teaser was released. The next week on April 24, the dance practice for their self titled title track was released. The album was released on May 1.

On August 3, the girls appeared on a Japanese music contest called ‘Birds Don’t Sing’. There, they announced they would make their Japanese debut. They made their Japanese debut on November 15, after being pushed back 3 times.

2020: Covid Hiatus, ♾️[]

Fans haven’t heard from the group for half of 2020. Fans got worried and started making rumors. On June 5, MNH revealed that the group was on hiatus for a bit for safety reasons. They were gonna record an album around April, but all 4 of the members obtained COVID back to back.

On August 16, the members finally released an album titled ‘♾️’. The all english title track ‘4EVER’ was on the charts in the USA for 2 consecutive weeks.

2021: Solo Projects, Disbandment[]

On February 28, MNH announced that the members would be working on solo projects and taking a hiatus. Which eventually leaded to their disbandment.

On October 21, they officially disbanded as the members didn’t renew their contracts.
