EX-IT (Korean: 엑싯; Japanese; エクシット; sometimes also known as EXcITement) is a South Korean Girl Group under XG Entertainment. Originally as 5, they debuted on June 20, 2022 with their first single album The Pose.
History[]
Pre-Debut[]
on April 10, 2022, XG Entertainment announced that they're going to debut a 5-member piece girl group on June of this year, and they will slowly start to reveal members. The group would be going by the name EX-IT meaning of EXcITement and the group would be following a modern girl crush concept with an unique aesthetic that will bring excitement towards the fans.
The member reveal process started on April 20–24 following daily reveal from Nari, Jimin, Chaer, Sooah and Yunjeong.
on May 3, 2022 it was announced that Chaer would be changing her stage name to Chaeyun.
Debut[]
on May 13, 2022, XG Entertainment announced that EX-IT would be making their awaited debut on June 20, 2022, with their first single album The Pose.
On January 1, 2023, XG Entertainment announced that EX-IT would be making a comeback on January 23, 2023, with their second single album "Citizen".
2023-Present:[]
On November 3, 2023, XG Entertainment announced the departures of Nari, Jimin, Chaeyun and Yunjeong due to personal reasons while the only remaining member, Sooah would continue as a member of EX-IT with new members to be introduced by the beginning of next year.
