History[]

2019 - 2024: Pre-debut, Formation[]

Park Eunseong joined Bee Entertainment in 2019 as part of the SWEET BEES. She was meant to participate in the 2021 survival show EXTRA GIRL before it was cancelled. Kwon Daeyoung joined with the SKY BEES in 2020. Min Juyeon and Kim Seungyun both joined in 2021 as part of the SAVVY BEES. Daeyoung and Juyeon both participated in the TOP ICON Public Audition Challenge in 2021, but failed to debut. Juyeon also participated in Idolix Season 2 but again failed to debut. Seungyun participated in Star Maker 101 in 2022. She debuted with LUNIVER and promoted with them until 2023. Yang Peyton joined with the SUNNY BEES in 2021. She participated on Search The Cosmos Season 2 and debuted with BOREALIZ in 2023. Peyton left the group before its disbandment due to unknown reasons. Kim Narae was scouted from entertainment company MAJOR9. She also participated in Star Maker 101 as well as WARRIORS in 2022 but failed to debut.
On September 5th, a social media account with the handle @do_you_believe began posting collaged images with phrases on them. All of the captions read “#beelieve2025”, leading netizens to speculate that the account was associated with Bee Entertainment. The account posted these images on September 28th, October 24th, and November 8th as well, with the fourth image including the phrase “Happily ---- -----” that fans decoded to be “Happily Ever After”. On December 10th, Bee Entertainment’s official social media accounts began following the account.
On December 11th, the group’s name and logo were revealed. Fans of the company’s other groups, namely VALERIAN, were disappointed with the “lacklustre” rollout to tease the group. As Bee Entertainment’s most recently debuted girl group at the time, Star10, was struggling to reach the same relevancy as their boy groups even after almost four years, fans expressed their concerns that EVER AFTER would end up the same way due to less elaborate marketing. The members were revealed every second day starting on December 12th. Each member was revealed with a photo and a quote discussing their relation to a story or film genre.

2025: Once Upon A Time, STORYBOOK, All To Myself[]

In January, each member wrote four messages for a series of posts titled “Four Things I Can Talk About”. The messages included hobbies and interests of the members. In mid-January, EVER AFTER announced their pre-debut digital single “Once Upon A Time”.
On January 27th, “Once Upon A Time” was released. Many fans compared the track’s sound to a lighter, gentler version of VALERIAN’s classical-inspired songs. The song was promoted for two weeks. “Once Upon A Time” debuted modestly on digital charts.
EVER AFTER were one of the opening acts for rm8z’s rm8z -observing the world- World Tour Seoul concerts. They performed “Once Upon A Time”, an unreleased track, and two covers. The group was noted by rm8z fans as being vocally skilled and having an aura of elegance and bubbliness.
In June, EVER AFTER’s debut was announced for July. Throughout the month, the group promoted themselves through livestreams and busking performances. During one of their performances at a university festival, the backing audio cut unexpectedly, and the members continued singing, with Juyeon trying to acapella the instrumental. A recording of the performance was uploaded to YouTube, where it gained over 500,000 views within two weeks. Some people claimed that it was a publicity stunt to show off EVER AFTER’s vocals and professionalism, but the group asserts that the audio wasn’t supposed to cut out.
EVER AFTER debuted with the mini-album STORYBOOK on July 11th, 2025. The title track “Romance Untold” followed the musical tones of “Once Upon A Time”. STORYBOOK received positive reviews from critics and fans alike for its theatrical and elegant concept. It sold 40,000 copies on its first day of sales, which was lower than expected, leading to comparisons between EVER AFTER and VALERIAN’s debut era sales. As VALERIAN sold 60,000 more copies on their first day of debut sales, netizens started questioning if EVER AFTER would follow the same route as Star10 and fade from the general public’s interest. “Romance Untold” debuted at #78 on the Circle Digital Chart, but slowly rose to #29 in November following a viral compilation of Peyton’s high note.
In late August, EVER AFTER released the surprise digital single “All To Myself”. The song was meant to commemorate successful debut promotions, but the song became more commercially successful than “Romance Untold” within a week. The sticky-sweet bubblegum pop of “All To Myself” found a fanbase on TikTok in Japan and America, who turned its catchy chorus into a dance challenge. The track debuted at #25 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 and rose to #5 by its second week.
