ELEMENT (엘레멘트), alternatively stylized in all lowercase, is a multinational boy group under SYSHOME and ELEMENTERTAINMENT. They made their debut on March 28, 2025, with the mini album absolutE zEro.

Concept and name

Name

The name is a reference to the Periodic Table of Elements. All members have their respective element according to the Periodic Table.

Additionally, sub-units may be formed based on a certain grouping of elements.

Pre-debut

On June 2, SYSHOME was found to have trademarked ELEMENT and ELEMENTERTAINMENT, sparking rumors of a new boy group.

On July 3, it was announced that SYSHOME would form their first boy group ELEMENT, which is said to be a male counterpart of SolSys. On the same day, they released a teaser of their first member. The next day, Choi Seungyoon was announced as the first member, followed by Yeon Byeolbin on July 6, Bak Eunhwi on July 8, and Sunwoo Hakwon on July 10. The four members were announced to be members of the first unit, LIGHTEYES.

On July 21, Kam Jutae was announced as the fifth member, followed by Gil Sungmin on July 25, MUZE on August 3, and Song Minjin on September 10. The 4 members were announced as members of bluerose.

On October 12, 2024, the group announced that their upcoming sub-unit, JUSN, would release their first digital single "tigEr" on October 14. The same day, the unit introduced all four members: Min Ohin, Hanzo, Jace and Oh Hanjong.

On December 29, 2024, the group introduced Choi Yumok, Kamram, Kang Minyeong, and Kim Jungmin as new members. Furthermore, the group announced that they will make their debut with the original twelve members sometime in February.

On January 3, 2025, SYSHOME announced that Kim Jungmin would take a break from activities after his father passed away and will spend time with his family as he mourns.

2025-present: 8-EIGHT, absolutE zEro, series sub-units

On February 4, 2025, the group announced that they would be launching 8-EIGHT, a sub-unit consisting of the last 8 members. The next day, Yu Ayong, Kou, Park Sungil, Kim Oyeong, Mayday, Koo Hyeong, Boo Juyeong, and Ji Ubin were introduced as new members.

On March 12, 2025, the group announced their debut mini album absolutE zEro set to be released on March 28.

On May 14, 2025, the group announced that 20 sub-units, based on series of the Periodic Table, will be created. Additionally, the units were set to be permanent. On the same day, Alkali Metals, Alkali Earth Metals, 1STYLE, Actinides, and Lanthanides were introduced. In an interview with ELEMENTERTAINMENT, 1STYLE was clarified to be the first series in the "transition" series, where 1 sub-unit will resemble 1 series integrated into the transition series. The next day, Park Seokjin was announced as a member of 1STYLE, followed by Hidaka on May 16, Henrik on May 17, Kwon Saheum on May 18, Song Sulhyeong as a member of Alkali Metals on May 19, Moony on May 20, Trevor on May 21, Cheon Hyungdon on May 22, Lee Injae as a member of Alkali Earth Metals on May 23, Seo Hanbin on May 24, Alex Han on May 25, and Kim Keontaek on May 26. Later, on May 28, 2025, the reveals continued with Huh Nahyuk revealed as the first member of Lanthanides, followed by Ri Kyongwan on May 29, Cha Doreum on May 30, Zemin on May 31, Yeo Soobin on June 1, Qaoxiang on June 2, Ki Rin on June 3.
