EDELWEISS (Korean: 에델바이스; Japanese: エーデルワイス) is a 7-members girl group under iASP Media and DOT. The made their debut on January 19, 2024, with their first single album ARDOR.
Originally they were known as ASTRAL.
History[]
2023-Present:[]
On September 19, 2023, members of ASTRAL announced that the group would continue to promote under a new name after departing ways with MyWorld Entertainment. MyWorld Entertainment that same day announced the departure of all the group members concluding the disbandment of the group.
Few days later Jiwoo revealed that her and the 6 other members of ASTRAL, including Sunmin would be re-debuting as a new girl group going by the name EDELWEISS under a new agency and things would be revealed in the upcoming weeks.
on November 1, 2023, iASP Media revealed that they would be co managing EDELWEISS with DOT, with DOT handling music production mostly and iASP Media handling management and everything else. The agency revealed that they're going to reveal soon details about the group's debut.
Debut:[]
On December 25, 2023, at Christmas, iASP Media revealed that EDELWEISS would be making their debut with their first single album "ARDOR". The single is set for release on January 15, 2024. on a Special Christmas livestream held on the group's official YouTube channel, they revealed the fandom name to be "floret" with the groups representative colors. They also revealed that Chaeryeon would be the leader of EDELWEISS.
2024-Present:[]
On May 20, 2024, iASP Media revealed that the group will make their first comeback on June 17, 2024, with their first mini album "All In One".
On December 9, 2024, iASP Media announced that EDELWEISS would be making their next comeback on January 13, 2025, with their second mini album "weBloom".
