DreamLand 2 (ドリームランド2; also known as DreamLand 2: Boy's World; Jp: ドリームランド2: 少年の世界) is a Japanese large-scale survival-reality based on Girls' Fantasy: Japan. It's premise is to create Japan's next big boy group. It will premiere in TokiToki for Japan and SCS for everywhere else on September 6, 2024.
A third season featuring female trainees, DreamLand 3 is currently on the planning stages for late 2025.
Concept[]
In Japan, a new island has popped up called the DreamLand where boys all over japan and overseas who dream to become superstars are invited. In Fantasy Land the boys will showcase their talents to where the Dreamers (fans) will vote for their favorite contestants to become part of the ultimate line-up for the dream boy group.
History[]
On February 2, 2024, TokiToki revealed that the show is being renewed for a second season under a new name. The show would be called DreamLand: Season 2. On June 1, 2024, TokiToki announced that auditions have officially been finished and they're currently on the process of filming, they're currently deciding on what the date for the premiere of the show should be, TokiToki also revealed that I:O will do the grand opening for the show, Ito Furata, Hatarimura Mae and Nakano Miyumi would be featured as guest mentors in the first two episodes.
On July 1, 2024, the first teaser revealing the two MCs for the show was released, it featured Kenzo Keita recurring his role as MC alongside famous singer and actress Watanabe Kasumi. TOKITOKI revealed that Minami was unable to reprise her role as MC alongside Keita due to busy schedules.
On July 29, 2024, TOKITOKI posted a hint regarding the final group name with the cryptic message Ten, Idea, Aim, Dream. At the end of the teaser it was revealed that the signal song AYE-HO! would be released on August 5, 2024 and the show would began airing on September 6, 2024. During the announcement it was revealed that DreamLand: Season 2 would be simplified as DreamLand 2.
On August 5, 2024, the signal song AYE-HO! was released with the grand performance on the show's official YouTube channel. The center position for the song was Hideo Takaki. Shortly after all the profiles for the 50 boys were released on the show's official webiste.
