Do You Even Know What True Love Is? is the debut extended play (EP) by K-pop boy group Anomii, released on August 4, 2025 through Emancipation of Music. The EP contains five tracks, including the lead single "Horn On My Head", as well as a collaboration with the solo artist Won Heeun. Members Hong Heonbo, Benjamin Castro, and Choi Jaewon are credited as songwriters on the EP.
Background and release[]
K-pop project boy group Anomii was formed through the survival audition program Into The Spotlight in the first half of 2025. In June 2025, it was confirmed that the group will be officially making their debut in early August, with an extended play consisting of five songs and featuring prominent South Korean artists as guest features or writers. Through an Instagram story, former Randomize members Mochizuki Kozue and Aaron Cho confirmed that they were part of the album's songwriting and production team, asking fans to stay tuned because they were "cooking up something that suits them well.
Do You Even Know What True Love Is? was released on August 4, 2025 alongside the lead single's music video, through various music platforms in South Korea and overseas.
Composition[]
Do You Even Know What True Love Is? contains five tracks and incorporates various genres of synth-pop, dream pop, pop rock, and melodic rap. For the single album, Anomii and their executive producer Heera collaborated with all-female production team SYNTHIA, in addition to musicians from various genres, including former Randomize members Aaron Cho and Mochizuki Kozue, gospel musician Byun Yanbin, and R&B singer Won Taehyun, all four of which are credited as songwriters on the record.
"어느 날 머리에서 뿔이 자랐다", a synth-pop song, focuses on the feelings teenagers and young adults who feel strained by the demanding stressors of the real world, leading to them emotionally falling apart and feeling like a bad person in a society where you have to perform up to a standard. "Run With You..." is a UK garage and indie pop song about falling in love with a stranger you seem to mysteriously connect with.
B-side "Do You Still Love Me Now?", featuring former Randomize member and folk singer Won Heeun, is the group's take on the popular saying "If they can't love you at your worst, they don't deserve you at their best". In the song, the members are thinking about a date who is excessively showering them with love and support, wondering if they'll support them once they become vulnerable and show their weaknesses and insecurities as a person. The overall theme of the song was also interpreted by some listeners as reflective of the fragility of K-pop's parasocial relationships, in which one trivial issue can be enough for the people who once treated you like everything to turn on you. "Sketch of an Alienated Man", inspired by Karl Marx's theory of alienation, is an indie pop song about an artist navigating his self-worth while struggling with feeling perpetually disconnected from the rest of the world. The producers later revealed that the song was originally produced under the title "Alone (Enveloped)" in 2020 and pitched to girl group SeoulDolls as a draft, but was ultimately not used because the group broke up before they could release new music. "어떻게 내 마음을 스쳐갔을까?" is a synth-pop song about barely chasing after a lover who had entered and left an important role in one's life, but left too soon before they could even fully process the feelings they had for them.
Commercial performance[]
Do You Even Know What True Love Is? debuted at 3 on the Circle Album Chart with over 64,000 copies sold. All five tracks debuted in the top 20 positions of the Circle Download Chart, which measures digital sales of songs in South Korea.

Do You Even Know What True Love Is? received a review of 3.5 of 5 stars from music journalist Chun Miyeon, describing the single album as a "very promising record that expresses the group's eagerness to stand out in the industry through emotional and genuine music". The lead single, "Horn On My Head", was included at #5 in NME's Best K-pop Songs of 2025.
