DARK PETAL(다크페털; also stylized as DVRK PETVL) is a 7-Member Girl Group under MAJOR E. They debuted on April 10, 2021 with the mini album Delusion.
History[]
2019-2021: Pre Debut[]
In January 2019, MAJOR E opened a new YouTube channel going by the name MeGIRLS, the channel would be showcasing highlighted Female Trainees of it's label before officially morphing into a upcoming girl group.
The project had only few line-up changes before finally setting with the trainees as following: Kim Seo Young, Han Ji Eun, Zhang Feng Yu, Go Na Hin, Yoo Chae Young, Katasuka Yua and Park Ju Hyeon. Then on January 19, 2020 confirmed that this line-up will be the final line-up that the girls would be debuting. However MAJOR E had yet to announce the group's official name.
On March 2, 2020 MAJOR E announced MeGIRLS's official group name, Dark Petal and the first debut trailer for the girls. From March 3 to March 10, the 7 members were revealed, starting with Siyou, Han Jieun, Bella, Nahin, Chaeyoung, Yua and Park Juhyeon.
On July 16, 2020, a scheduler was posted on the groups official SNS, announcing their first Pre-Debut digital single, "Crown" on July 24.
On August 9, 2020, MAJOR E announced that member Nahin would be going on a temporary hiatus due to Health Issues. On November 27, 2020, MAJOR E announced that Nahin would return to continue with the group activities.
On December 26, 2020, Dark Petal announced that they would be releasing their second pre-debut digital single, "Without You" on January 7, 2021.
2021-Present: Debut with Delusion[]
On March 11, 2021, MAJOR E announced that Dark Petal Will officially debut on April 10, 2021. The same day they revealed that the group will debut with their first mini album, titled Delusion.
on October 2, 2021, MAJOR E announced that Dark Petal will make their first comeback on October 29, 2021, with their second mini album "Behind the Mirror".
on March 3, 2022, MAJOR E announced that the group would be making their comeback with their first single album Thorn, set for release on March 29, 2022.
on September 23, 2022, MAJOR E announced that the group would be making another comeback this year with their third mini album Hallows Eve Town, set for release on October 18, 2022.
On May 13, 2023, MAJOR E announced that Dark Petal is preparing for their next comeback with their first full album.
On July 9, 2023, MAJOR E announced that Dark Petal's comeback would be postponed to early October due to some issues within production.
On September 1, 2023, MAJOR E announced that Dark Petal is making a comeback with their first Full Album "Carousel". The album is set for release on October 2, 2023.
