Daejung (대정), is a South Korean singer-songwriter, model and trainee under LIMERENCE. He is a member of the pre debut boy group NFB and the trainee team, TENROOKIES and a former member of the boy group ORCHID.
He is best known for being a contestant on the South Korean reality survival show Turbo Max and was placed fifth, therefore joining the debut lineup. The group disbanded after four months of activity.
Early life and education[]
Yeo Dae-Jung was born on January 2, 1998 in Seocho-gu, Seoul, South Korea to a wealthy family in a large home, as he grew up in what is now ranked as the richest neighborhood in South Korea. His family consists of his mother, father and and two older sisters. His parents run a successful candy brand, which He only spent 4 years of his life as a 'normal child', before a family friend suggested to his parents for him to try modelling, landing him the world cup commercial in 2002. Following the commercial, he joined Seoul Seoi Elementary School in 2004, and in around 2008 met a young Jungmo of Cravity, who he would later on train with.
He took academics very seriously, and began studying at Konkuk University in 2016, and graduated with a degree in Film in 2020, doing so whilst still being a trainee.
Career[]
2002-2022: Child model beginnings, trainee period[]

In 2002, Daejung entered the entertainment industry when he made his modelling debut, appearing in a commercial for the 2002 Fifa World Cup at just 4 years old promoting Nike in March 2002. He continued to model in commercials throughout the 2000s building up his resume, and in October 2013, appeared in an commercial for the new Samsung Galaxy Round phone at just 15.
Following the commercial, he was offered an idol trainee contract from SM Entertainment in December 2013. Wanting to try something new that doesn't just require sitting pretty, he accepted and become a member of SM's pre-debut training team SMROOKIES. He trained under the SM until August 2018, when he left the company for Starship Entertainment following his second rejection from debuting, the first time being in NCT Dream and the second time with the new batch of NCT members.
He trained for an additional 2 years at Starship, also reuniting with childhood friend Jungmo, then left as he felt that the debut project he was selected for, CRAVITY, wasn't for him as he felt the concept didn't suit him, and that the group felt rushed following the Produce X 101 rigging scandal. He would've stayed, however he knew Starship would not debut a group anytime soon and he didn't want to waste so far 6 years of training. Throughout the early stages of the pandemic, he practiced singing and dancing at home, and ultimately would rejoin the industry in March 2022 when he signed with 32 MEDIA, a week prior to filming Turbo Max.
2022: Turbo Max, ORCHID[]
After 7 years of training, he joined the survival show Turbo Max, finishing in 5th place and ultimately becoming a member of ORCHID. The group are set to make their debut sometime this year.
Personality[]
Growing up in the entertainment industry, he developed a workaholic mindset from a young age. He tends to keep himself focused with work tasks rather than watching things like movies and tv shows. Being in work since he was a toddler has made him develop strong leadership skills from watching others lead him throughout the last 20 years of his life.
Despite having 20 years of experience at just 24 years old, he doesn't speak as much as someone would expect after reading a description on him. He tends to enjoy sitting back and listening closely and only talking when needed, as growing up his parents had always told him to not remain loud as it seems 'unprofessional', however he wishes to break the shell and express himself more verbally rather than only writing songs. During Turbo Max, he never took a leader position once, but ended up helping the team leader each time.

Donghyuck (Jangyeo/'98 line)[]
During Turbo Max, these two were branded as the fake twins as they were born on the exact same day and sported the same hair colour and similar style. They paired together for the music show challenge, ending up in the Is It Love team alongside Xiao Ling.
Seungmin (Mindaez)[]
Seungmin and Daejung were like brothers from the beginning of Turbo Max. Despite joining the company a week prior to filming the show, he managed to become friends with Seungmin during photoshoots for publicity stills. Daejung treats Seungmin like a younger brother since Seungmin debuted at just 14 in nugu boy group Tomorrow Moon in 2016, and knows the struggles of being in the industry at such a young age, thus creating a strong bond between the two, and fans hope to see more.
Ryozo (Yeomeoni)[]
Ryozo first became interested in Daejung when he found out he was already in the industry before he was born from a producer, and being the extrovert he is, he approached Daejung during the Workplace Mission, and Daejung helped Ryozo deal with the staged situations, and from there on Daejung continued to act as a mentor and parent figure to Ryozo. Their name Yeomeoni comes from Daejungs nickname for Ryozo made during Turbo Max, jumeoni (pocket, due to Ryozo being the shortest contestant, implying he can fit in his pocket) and Yeo Dae-Jung. It is also a play on the word "Eomeoni" (or eomma; English: mother) as due to their 6 year age gap, Daejung acts like a parent figure towards Ryozo.
