DREAMSCAPE (드림스케이프) is a 5 member girl group under LSG Entertainment. They debuted on August 4, 2023 with the mini album After School.

History[]

Pre-debut[]

Member Meiling is a former trainee of SM Entertainment and Starship Entertainment and member Paris was a child actress in New Zealand using her full name Paris Gasparich.

2023-2024: After School, Ear Candy[]

The members of DREAMSCAPE were announced via LSG Entertainment social media on July 8, 2023.

On July 9, 2023, LSG Entertainment released the teaser video for the group's debut mini album "After School".

"Attention", After School's first single was pre-released on July 28, 2023. Their debut mini album "After School", along with lead single "Hype boy" was released on August 4, 2023 to critical and commercial success, peaking at #1 on the Circle Album Chart.

On December 10, 2023, LSG Entertainment released the teaser video for their 2nd mini album "Ear Candy" and revealed its tracklist.

On December 21, 2023, Meiling and Paris were announced as 2 of the 4 members of SWEET DREAM, a collaboration girl group between YR Entertainment and LSG.

The first single from Ear Candy, "Cookie", was released on December 29, 2023. The song garnered controversy among critics and fans alike to due its lyrics which many claimed had sexual undertones, inappropriate for the members' young ages. LSG Entertainment did not comment on the criticism.

"Ear Candy" was released on January 5, 2024. The music video for "OMG" was released the same day. The album was a large commercial success, selling over 1.3 million first week and peaking at #1 in South Korea. "OMG" charted at #1 in South Korea, #2 worldwide, #31 in the United States, and reached the top 10 in the Philippines, Japan, New Zealand and Australia.

"Sugarcoat", Ear Candy's third single, was released on February 16, 2024 after a viral trend on social media used the song's chorus.

2024: SOUNDSCAPE[]

On February 27, 2024, LSG revealed DREAMSCAPE had plans to release 2 full-length albums by the end of the year; 1 in English and 1 in Korean. The albums will be promoted as a single era.

On April 2, 2024, the group's debut full-length English-language album was announced to be released on August 30 of that year. "Motivation" was revealed to be the lead single, to be released on May 24, 2024, and 3 more untitled singles inlcuding an unknown featured artist were to be released in August of that year.

On April 19, 2024, the Netflix documentary series DREAMSCAPE: Dreams Come True was released, following the group through their process to debut, including line-up changes, music & music video production, interviews with members and more.

Their debut English-language single "Motivation" was released on May 24, 2024 to commercial and critical acclaim.

On July 4th, 2024, LSG Entertainment announced the second single from "SOUNDSCAPE", "Feather", would be released on August 9, 2024, and that it would be DREAMSCAPE's first track to feature explicit lyrics.

"Feather" was released as the album's 2nd single on August 9, 2024. The single achieved commercial success, reaching the Top 20 on many charts.

On August 28, 2024, just 2 days before their debut album's release, the members of DREAMSCAPE were involved in a controversy after Chloe and Paris' private TikTok and Instagram accounts had their contents leaked to the public by a non-celebrity friend of the pair. The leaks included videos of all members (including Meiling, Paris and Haerin who were underaged) vaping, and singing along to songs that Korean media deemed as innappropriate. Following the controversy, a number of fans called for the departure of Chloe and Paris from the group. The 2 members issued a concise apology to fans on messaging app Bubble, while LSG Entertaiment's CEO Lee Seo-gun asked the public to be understanding, as all 5 members were teenagers at the time.

"SOUNDSCAPE" was officially released to streaming, digital download, CD and vinyl formats on August 30, 2024. "Cardboard box" was sent to radio as the 4th single the same day. The album recieved immense critical acclaim by music critics, who praised it's retro sound, reminiscent of late 1990s and 2000s pop & RnB. It was included in many year-end lists of the best albums from 2024. The album was a worldwide commercial success, reaching #1 in numerous countries and breaking streaming records across all platforms.

DREAMSCAPE earned their first music show win on September 11, 2024 on K-Pop On Top with "Motivation".

On November 1, 2024, DREAMSCAPE announced their first world tour Dare 2 Dream was to kick off its Asia leg in July 2025, with other legs to extend into 2026.

DREAMSCAPE's first Christmas EP "Santa Tell Me" was released on November 22, 2024, with the title track serving as its lead single.

"SOUNDSCAPE"'s first post-album single "The boy is mine" and its music video were released on November 29, 2024.

2025-present: DREAMSCAPE[]

On January 2, 2025, DREAMSCAPE announced the lead single for their first Korean (and second overall) full-length album would be released in February of that year.

On January 7, 2025, the album was revealed to be self-titled. "DREAMSCAPE" is slated for release on May 15, 2025, coinciding with member Meiling's 18th birthday and just over 2 months before the group begins their world tour.

"Ditto" was released on February 7, 2025 as the album's lead single. The song met critical acclaim and commercial success, debuting at #4 on Spotify's global daily chart with 8 million streams.

"Love Me Like This" and "ETA" were released simultaneously on April 11, 2025 as the album's 2nd and 3rd singles.
