DAN.B is a rapper and dj under Neptune Entertainment. She is a member of the girl group Neon Axys. The group debuted in 2004 with the single "Memory". She is a former member of the duo D.E.VA that debuted in 2012 with the single "Forever You". She debuted as a soloist in 2018 with the single "Neon Motion"
Early Life[]
DAN.B was born in Seoul in 1988, in a modest but very creative family: his father is a freelance sound technician and his mother is a former modern dance dancer. She grew up in an artistically stimulating environment, which led her from an early age to explore electronic music, dance and digital composition. Attended art school in Seoul, where she began experimenting with early music production software.
Career[]
2004-2009: VENUS[]
In 2004, at only 16 years old, he debuted in the group VENUS under the FairyDream Company, taking on the role of main and sub-vocal rapper. Her image is immediately recognizable: androgynous look, strong scenic presence, and a personality out of the box. She is the only one of the group to have strong interests in electronics and DJing since then. After the initial success, the group disbands in 2009 and while the other members take different paths, DAN.B remains in FairyDream, determined to explore her individual potential.
2012-2016: D.E.VA[]
After years in the background, in 2012 DAN.B returns to the scene forming the duo EDM D.E.VA, together with a German-Korean producer, Lisa K. The duo is distinguished by the sounds cyberpop and techno-synthwave, gaining a small but faithful underground fanbase. Despite the originality of the project, the duo disbands in 2016 due to lack of promotional support.
2017-2021: Dj and Solo career[]
After the dissolution of D.E.VA, DAN.B reinvents himself as a DJ in Seoul clubs, becoming a reference figure in the nightlife scene, known for its sets that blend techno, house and glitch-hop. In 2018 he released the single "Neon Motion", a tribute to the world of 80’s synth and got positive reviews from indie music portals. In the same year he is mentor in the survival show "World on Stage", where he leads young electronic artists.
In 2021 he publishes "Talk me Digital", an experimental piece that talks about identity and connection in the age of artificial intelligence, and which marks the end of his experience with FairyDream.
2024-present: Neon Axys[]
In 2024, after years of solo career, DAN.B accepts Sooky’s invitation to reform VENUS under Neptune Entertainment. For legal reasons, the group changes its name to Neon Axys. The reunion is not only symbolic: DAN.B actively contributes to the production of the electronic sound of the band’s new course, with a strong retro-futuristic touch.
In 2025, she took part as a trainer in the survival show "Hidden Talent: Unrealized Future", bringing her experience as an artist out of the box and teaching trainees the value of musical identity.
Public Image[]
DAN.B is seen as the "techno soul" of Neon Axys: rebellious, charismatic, and with an alternative style that does not follow the trends but anticipates them. It represents the evolution of the idol that escapes stereotypes, becoming an iconic figure in the alternative music scene.
Relationships:[]
- Lisa K: The relationship with Lisa K, a German-Korean producer with whom she formed the duo D.E.VA, was one of the most intense and multi-faceted in her career. When they met in 2011, DAN.B was looking for a new musical language and Lisa represented the creative spark that was missing. Together they built a strongly alternative project, where Lisa handled the experimental sounds while DAN.B gave voice and visual identity to the project. Beyond the professional collaboration, a deep and, according to some unconfirmed sources, even sentimental relationship has been created between the two, never openly stated but intuitively in interviews and cryptic lyrics of their songs. If not romantically, certainly emotionally very intimate. When D.E.VA broke up in 2016, it was not just an artistic failure for DAN.B, but also a personal separation difficult to process. Even today, DAN.B recognizes Lisa as one of the people who have understood her most creatively, and she says "grateful for everything they shared, in silence and sound."
