D.IV.ERGENT (다이버전트; pronounced "dai-ver-jehnt") is an eight-member boy group currently under FI Entertainment. They debuted on August 9, 2018 with their first mini album INTRO: Different Styles, and the title track "Divergent".
History[]
2018: Debut with INTRO: Different Styles, first award show win[]
On March 9, FI Entertainment took to its official social media accounts and released a blurred photo of the word "divergent".
On May 30, FI began releasing individual teaser photos of the members for the agency's upcoming boy group on Instagram, starting with Wulim the same day. This was followed by Novio on June 1, Jimkae on June 4, B.Y on June 5, Karter on June 8, Song.J on June 11, Austyn on June 13 and lastly River on June 15. Group teasers began getting released on July 5.
On July 31, FI published the group's official YouTube channel with a 6 minute video titled "Meet D.IV.ERGENT".
The last teaser video was released on August 4 before the group had their official debut on August 9 with their mini album INTRO: Different Styles.
On October 9, the group revealed their fandom name, Foreverling.
On December 28, D.IV.ERGENT attended the 4th Seoul Music Performance Awards at the Gocheok Sky Dome. They were nominated for four awards but didn't receive a win for any. They were, however, the winners of the Male Special Mention award, marking that their first ever award show win.
2019: GAME: Ready Players, SGA Summer Blast Festival, GAME: Game Over, "Winter Wear"[]
On January 17, D.IV.ERGENT released their second mini album named GAME: Ready Players.
On July 12, all members attended their first music festival at the 2019 SGA Summer Blast Festival.
On July 21, they released their first studio album named GAME: Game Over.
On December 19, they released their first single album named Winter Wear.
2020: FRESH: Bubble Boys, "Autumn's Anthem", second award show win, FI's Future Fest 2020[]
On May 20, D.IV.ERGENT released their third mini album named FRESH: Bubble Boys.
On September 15, they released their second single album named Autumn's Anthem.
On December 27, they attended the 6th Seoul Music Performance Awards at the Gocheok Sky Dome, which member B.Y co-hosted. They were the winners of the Best Male Group Vocal Performance award thanks to their song "Double Bubble Power".
On December 31, all eight members attended FI's Future Fest 2020, a family concert event organised by the company.
2021: SWEET: Candy Store, Battle of Stardom, CHIC: Rule This Town, FestiVista, DARK: Another Night[]
On February 12, D.IV.ERGENT released their fourth mini album named SWEET: Candy Store, which was special for the group and their fans as it was the first release where every member took some part in its production.
On March 21, they appeared on the reality show Battle of Stardom as contestants.
On June 14, the winners of Battle of Stardom were announced and revealed that D.IV.ERGENT garnered a total of 21,000 points which scored them 3rd place overall.
On July 21, all members attended their second music festival at the 2021 FestiVista.
On August 24, they released their fifth mini album named CHIC: Rule This Town.
On December 13, they released their sixth mini album named DARK: Another Night.
2022: PUNK: Rock Boys, HAPPY: Dance Fever[]
On May 17, D.IV.ERGENT released their seventh mini album named PUNK: Rock Boys.
On October 7, they will release their eighth mini album named HAPPY: Dance Fever.

- They are the first boy group under FI Entertainment.
- They debuted on the same day as boy group INCREW.
- Karter's brother (Bingwen), B.Y's sister (Sungmi), Song.J's brother (Sangchul), Wulim's sister (Gayoon) and River's sister (Eunjin) created their own "'97 Line" group chat after meeting each other through their brothers.
- They are on SGA Radio every Friday from 2:00pm to 3:30pm.
- They were participants on the reality show, Battle of Stardom.
Fandom[]
- As of October 9, 2018, D.IV.ERGENT's fandom name is "Foreverling" (포에버링), pronounced "four-eh-vehr-ling".
- Their fans will be their "darling" angels who will love the group "forever", no matter how many different concepts, styles and genres the group try.

Etymology[]
- D.IV.ERGENT are always trying new concepts and sounds and styles.
- The "D" alone represents the words different, diverse and distinct.
- The "D.IV" stands for eight members because the "D" means "double" while the "IV" stands for "four" (double four is eight).
- Lastly, the "ERGENT" sounds like "urgent" which means that the group require immediate attention.
