Life and Career[]
Crystal Miselle Gomez was born on November 25, 2000, in Coconut Grove, a neighborhood in Miami, Florida, United States, to Ximena Kondou (b. April 21, 1971), an Argentine housewife & retired Disney worker of Japanese and Vietnamese ancestry from Buenos Aires, and Maikel Gomez (b. August 4, 1967), a French-Dominican restaurant owner from Puerto Plata. Her parents met when her mother was working at Disney World while her father was touring. She is from a large family, as she is the 3rd oldest of 13 siblings, having 2 older brothers, 6 younger sisters, and 4 younger brothers (her oldest sibling was born in 1996, meanwhile her youngest sibling was born in 2024). All of her siblings were born in Florida (with the 2 oldest being born in Orlando and the rest in Miami). She was the first sibling of hers to be born in Miami. Some of her siblings include Diamond Gomez (b. February 19, 2004), Ivory Gomez (b. October 11, 2005) and Pearl Gomez (b. May 6, 2008).
Thanks to her extremely wealthy family, she grew up in a rich mansion which had a luxurious style. Her first language was Spanish. Her father owned a local Dominican restaurant, which was really popular in the local area and also connected her more to her Hispanic/Latina heritage. She also always had an interest for many things, especially the entertainment industry. She always loved stuff related to entertainment, however, despite this, she didn't know what career to be having when she grew up. During her time in school, she was also very distracted in class, to the point where she would often get on her phone rather than actually doing her work. Although she has already loved music, especially when listening to Spanish-language music while growing up, her interest peaked after she heard Daddy Yankee's "Gasolina", which after that took singing and dancing lessons. Around 2nd-3rd grade in Elementary School, she lived in Savannah, Georgia to live with her grandparents before moving back to Miami to live with her parents in 4th grade. After moving back to Florida, she spent the majority of her free time discovering new music, as well as shopping at the mall with her friends. Around 2015-2019, she was apart of a local Miami-based dance cover group. During 2018, she discovered K-pop for the first time with "BOOMBAYAH" by BLACKPINK and went to the K-pop rabbit hole. She later took a little bit of Korean lessons online to learn the language.
In May 2019, after she graduated High School, she auditioned for Fashion Enterprises in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with "Felices los 4" by Maluma and later passed the audition. She was originally going to move to Los Angeles, California to pursue a western music career, however, a friend of hers convinced her to be a k-pop idol, because of this, she moved to Seoul by herself in September 2019.
2020: Debut in IMPGS[]
Despite not being a contestant in Find Your Game, she appeared as a surprise addition, as the producer thought that the group wouldn't be the same without Crystal, thus making her able to debut with IMPGS. In November 16, 2020, the group debuted with "La Vie en Rose".
