Crisanto (크리산토) is a Filipino model based in South Korea under YR Entertainment.
Early Life[]
Crisanto was born on June 12, 1999, in Cebu City, Philippines as the oldest of 7 siblings. Hailing from a better-off family, Crisanto had many opportunities growing up. He took vocal classes for much of his youth and was even a lead singer in his church. He also enjoyed other activities such as playing the violin, painting, cooking, and basketball, but especially basketball.
Being taller than 95% of the Filipino population, Crisanto took advantage of the fact and used his height to constantly beat people in the game. When he was 18, he went majorly viral after a girl posted a video of him playing basketball with his friends on TikTok. Crisanto quickly gained thousands of followers.
Despite his newfound fame online, Crisanto had no interest in pursuing it, and he instead went off to attend university after graduating high school. He had received a scholarship to attend Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea as an exchange student, majoring in architecture.
Although attending university, Crisanto continued to post on his personal Instagram and TikTok accounts. He only continued to blow up due to his handsome looks and great body. He was offered many modeling, trainee, and acting contracts, but Crisanto turned them all down, as he was focusing on school. Eventually, he finished school in 2022 and got a degree in architecture.
Crisanto was happy, but at the same time he felt empty. He stated that he wasn't really sure if he wanted to go back to the Philippines and start working as an architect, he had grown attached to Korea. As his 5-year school visa had expired, Crisanto was forced to look for a new way to stay in the country, but luckily for him, a company had recently contacted him, trying to scout him as a model. Crisanto accepted the contract and became a model under YR Entertainment.
