Choi Minwoo (최민우), or simply Minwoo, is a South Korean trainee under Big Planet Creative.
Personal Life[]
Minwoo was born on June 20, 2000 in Jeju Island, South Korea. His parents were always supportive of his dreams of becoming an idol but had a hard time of letting their baby go to Seoul and actually pursue his dreams. Before becoming a trainee, he used to help out at his aunt's café as a barista making coffees, americanos and different flavored teas.
Career[]
2015–2020: Auditions, Training, Return to Education and Move to Seoul[]
At the age of 15, after a few years of self-training, Minwoo and his parents travelled to Seoul with hopes of Minwoo passing an audition. The first company he auditioned at was SM Entertainment which was due to his love of SHINee. The company stated that they will call him when they have decided on his fate. The next day he received a phone call from SM, he failed. His father stated that he has one last try and if he fails again he will return to Jeju and continue his education, Minwoo agreed as he didn't want to anger his parents especially his father. He then audition for JYP Entertainment, he passed the first round which boosted his confidence but ultimately failed the second round.
After failing his second audition, he abided his parents wish and returned to Jeju where he continued his education. Just because he failed two auditions doesn't mean he was gonna give up his dream. After we was done with school he would train and watch dance practice videos so he could perfect every move. After he graduated, he started to work and save money so he can move to Seoul and finally pursue his dream.
In 2020, he made the big move to Seoul where he joined a dance team and trained as much as he could. After some time his dance coach/dance team leader encouraged him to go get vocal lessons to try and build a resume so he could stand out from the crowd when he goes to audition for a company.
2021–2022: Signing with Big Planet Creative and Trainee Life[]
On September 17, 2021, Minwoo attended an open audition to Big Planet Creative which at the time was not a well-known company but he decided to give it a try. He passed the first round which caught him by surprise cause his messed up on his vocal performance. The next day he attended round two, he passed. Minwoo was shocked but also happy that his determination is paying off. On September 20, 2021, he received a phone call from the BPC recruiters, his hard-work finally payed off and was accepted into the company as a trainee.
During his time as a trainee, he has made lots of connections and friendships with other fellow trainees. He was most known for being caring and always encouraging his peers to try their best and to not give up.
2022–2023: Outside The Box and Road To ZERO[]
On November 29, 2022, Minwoo was revealed to be a contestant on KBC's 2022 survival show, Outside The Box and will be representing Big Planet Creative. On January 26, 2023, Minwoo was eliminated along with his team except for Min Taylor who was saved.
On January 28, 2023, Minwoo was revealed as a contestant on the upcoming survival show, Road to ZERO alongside Kim Wonbin as well as Yang Seungmin and Kim Wonhyun who were also revealed on the same day.
Personality[]
Upon first meeting, Minwoo is a shy-like person. He takes a bit of time to open up but when he does he's a friendly goofball. He's the type of person who always strives for perfection and will discipline himself if met with negative criticism.
He has always been a confident person throughout his childhood but it took a major hit when he failed his first two auditions.

- Nicknames: WooWoo.
- His nickname "WooWoo" was given to him by his grandmother when he was a baby.
- Role models: Sangwon (FINEKIZ), Bang Chan (Stray Kids).
- During his deep dive into K-Pop he discovered FINEKIZ and had an instant connection to the group especially Sangwon who he looks up to as a musician.
- During an interview, he revealed that he is a massive STAY and has said that he looks up to Bang Chan and admires him as a leader. he also stated "..if I debut I want to care for my members like how Bang Chan cares for his members no matter if I'm the leader or maknae, I always want to be there for them".

- He has two older sisters, who were born in 1996 and 1998.
- His relationship with his sisters was always playful as they would make fun of each other and tease one another.
- He was exposed to K-Pop when he was 11 years old and groups like KARA and SHINee inspired him to become an idol.
