Choi Heejin (최희진) is a South Korean Idol from EMERGE by Blair Music. He debuted on July 14, 2015.
He debuted as a soloist on April 8, 2024 with his mini album Orange Sunset.
History[]
Early Life[]
Choi Heejin was born on September 18, 1999 in Seoul, South Korea to a couples whose names are undisclosed. He is the oldest of four, with two younger sisters (2001 and 2004) and two younger brothers (2003 and 2005). His second sister, Choi Jiyeon debuted in Alora in 2024.
In 2005, his family moved to Busan due to his fathers work.
From 2005 to 2012, Heejin was apart of a dance studio and was credited as one of the best dancers.
Training Period[]
He became a trainee on March 13, 2012. He was quickly known by fans alike for his sharp features even when he was 12 years old, He was fondly nicknamed Heeji-Ah due to him being the maknae amongst the male trainees.
Career[]
Debut as a part of EMERGE[]
On January 2, 2015, Blair Entertainment announced that they would be debuting their first boy group in the summer of 2015.
On May 25, 2015, he was revealed as the fifth member of EMERGE.
On July 14, 2015, Heejin and the other EMERGE members debuted with the album Act I: Garnet.
On September 10, 2018, he debuted as a producer/composer for the first time with EMERGE's album Major II: Sapphire.
On July 15, 2019, on the groups fourth year anniversary, all the members opened personal Instagram accounts. His handle being "Heejin_Cho18".
On March 23, 2024, teasers for his solo debut Orange Sunset was released.
On April 8, his debut mini album Orange sunset was released. It was met with positive reception.
On August 26, 2024, he will make his comeback with his second mini album.
Health[]
On February 23, 2017, it was announced that Heejin had injured himself during their filming for their comeback. As such he was ordered to rest and could not participate in the promotions for Act IV: Red Beryl. He returned to activities in April 29, 2017.

Heejin is one of the groups main dancers, along with that he is also a sub-vocal and the visual. Heejin is also the maknae of the group as well.

- His hobbies include dancing, painting and paying video games, and playing pranks on the other members.
- His nicknames include: Heeji, Beansprout, Heejin-Ah, and Puppy.
- He shares a room with Park Eunwoo and Kim Eunjin.
- He was an honors student during his time in high school with his lowest grade being an 91 in English.
- When he was applying for University, he was offered several scholarships from several prestigious Universities.
- Heejin is studying psychology in University.

- Park Eunwoo is often the victim of his jokes as he often calls Eunwoo a midget.

- Since he is the eldest in his family, he has said that he sometimes finds it out of place being treated as the maknae due to it. There are videos in which he is taking care of the members who are the maknae's (most notably; Park Eunwoo and Joo Yubin who are both the youngest child in their families) in their families as if he was their Hyung.
