Cheng Xia (Korean: 정샤, Chinese: 成夏) is a Korean-Chinese singer-songwriter, lyricist, actress and model under her own label xia records. She was a member of ACG84's TEAM A till 2015, Being the center 4 times also the GICON for 3 years. She is a member of the project girl group YCXM.
She is one of the prominent and leading public figures in the Chinese entertainment industry, even sparking popularity internationally.
History[]
Early Life:[]
Cheng Meiying (A.K.A Kim Mi Yeon). was born in Wuhan, China on August 19, 1996. She is the daughter of a Chinese Mother and a Korean Father.
2009-2015: ACG84[]
Meiying had joined ARTIAC Culture Entertainment and was introduced on ACG84's first Team, TEAM A. Being the youngest of the team, She gained popularity quickly.
After sometime ACG84 Star Culture announced that TEAM A would be finishing Promotions with 14 Members of TEAM A leaving ACG84 Star Culture Label on June 2015, Cheng Xia being one of them.
She later opened her Weibo account & Confirmation of joining a new label.
Cheng Xia then was Moved to WaoHyu's Subsidiary (WaoHyu Korea) where she would hold her Korean Promotions.
2019-2023:[]
She was rumored to participate on a Survival Show, Later she confirmed on her Weibo & Instagram that she will not participate on survival show as a contestant.
On March 31, It was rumored that she will be a Mentor of You Can Do It Too!. Later it was confirmed by the network that Cheng Xia would join the cast as a mentor for the boy season of You Can Do It!.
2023-Present:[]
During the reveal of her first studio album it was revealed that she parted ways with WaoHyu Entertainment and has opened her own label xia records where she would continue to bring her true self to her fans.
After the controversy with Xianyan, she has deleted all the songs he was featured in from her digital discographies.
After the major success of Passive-Aggressive, xia's record & Diverse Yi & Co. Entertainment announced they're teaming up and forming a project group for Yu Mengyi, Cheng Xia, Xu Yaning and Xenheva Mei. The group would be going by the name YCXM which serves as the members surnames.
On August 19, 2024, xia records revealed that Cheng Xia would be releasing her first EP, ReBirth on September 9, 2024.
On December 23, 2024, xia records announced that Cheng Xia would be making her Korean comeback in January 15, 2025, with her fifth Korean single "Iz".
Personal Life[]
A Rumor revealed that Xianyan and Cheng Xia have been dating for a while now. Both sides went silent later on with WaoHyu Ent. Confirming the rumors and revealed that they're both dating and asked fans to leave their private life on their hands.
On April 11, 2023, WaoHyu Entertainment confirmed the news that Cheng Xia and Xianyan have broken up.
