CAROLS (캐러르스) is an 6-members South Korean Girl Group under J by PERSONA. Originally as 9, they made their debut on December 15, 2019 with the mini album "A Christmas Spirit".
History[]
They were formerly known as GOGIRLS, Consisting members Hangyeon, Yaemoon, Jaeswhi, Kate, Sabrina, Saeron, Minhan and Waeson.
C&Q Entertainment, delayed their debut on 2018, They remained as trainees still. Until September 17 2018 where they decided to leave Their label, Remaining as GOGIRLS till December 2018. when they changed their name to CAROLS.
They released their pre-debut single "Jingle Jingle" On January 7, 2019, and Stated That they will debut on December this year.
They are debuting on December 15, 2019 with the Mini Album "A Christmas Spirit"
They released a Summer Single called Aloha Aloha Eh on July 18, 2020.
PERSONA Entertainment announced that CAROLS would be making a comeback on December 23 with the Second Mini Album "A Christmas Story"
The group would be also releasing a Pre-Release single called "The Gingerbread Man" which will be released on December 1, 2020.
PERSONA Entertainment announced that CAROLS would be moving to their newly established label to focus only on the girls promotions. the label is called J by PERSONA.
on September 9, 2022, The agency announced that Eunna would be leaving the group due to personal reasons, the group would be continuing promotions as 8-members from now on and would be making a comeback with their first Full Album on December 9, 2022, "Caroling with Carols".
On January 1, 2024, J by PERSONA revealed that CAROLS would be going under an indefinite hiatus until further notice.
On December 9, 2024, J by PERSONA announced that Nagyeong and Seoreon would be departing from the group and the agency. CAROLS would be recognized as a 6-piece group from now on. They also announced that the group would be making a return next year.
