CAPTE'VAT (Korean: 캡틴벳; Japanese: キャプティベイト) is an six-members girl group under WMW and COM Entertainment US. They made their Korean debut on May 1, 2024, with their first mini album The Catch.
History[]
Pre-Debut:[]
On January 1, 2024, MyWorld Entertainment announced that they're going to rebrand as MAKE Entertainment, with the changes applied the agency revealed that they're going to debut their first girl group after the rebranding and changes in the agency under WMW. The agency also posted a statement regarding their previous groups such as NEONLIGHT, ASTRAL and EXTRACT and how their careers fell short due to now former employees. The agency posted a stand alone statement apologizing for both of the groups and stated their upmost support for the members of said groups in their future.
On February 1, 2024, WMW opened the official SNS accounts for their upcoming girl group CAPTE'VAT. They gave little to no details for the group besides that the group will be debuting soon.
Debut:[]
On February 12, 2024, CAPTE'VAT revealed the first member Gone (Kim Gaeun), whom previously participated on Awakening: Rebirth of Stars. Followed by Ahri on February 13, Rya, whom was a member of the girl group NEONLIGHT on February 14 under the stage name Raia, Elsie on February 15, Cora on February 16 and the final member Harper on February 17. On February 18, 2024 the group profile was posted across different SNS accounts.
On April 3, 2024, WMW announced that CAPTE'VAT would be making their official debut on May 1, 2024, with their first mini album "The Catch".
On October 14, WMW announced that CAPTE'VAT would be making a comeback with their second mini album "AntiVandalism".
On December 9, 2024, COM Entertainment US revealed that CAPTE'VAT would be signing with them for International promotions, the group will make their big US debut sometime in 2025.
On May 25, 2025, COM Entertainment US announced that CAPTE'VAT would be making their U.S. debut with their first digital single Problem. The single would be released on June 9, 2025.
