Brand New Woman is the debut 1st Mini-Album by BACK2UP. It was released on February 15, 2023.
Background[]
The full album was produced and written by the members of BACK2UP. The group revealed that they initially intended ''BYE BYE'' to be the title track but when they were noticed their company was going to debut a girl group called ''PANDORA'' they wanted to make something funny even if it was risky for a debut to give a hint on the girl group. They ended being lucky and were able to excell in the charts. They wrote the album 1 year before their debut was announced because they wanted to make the perfect album for a long awaited debut, when they changed the title track, their debut got delayed.
Music and lyrics[]
Concept[]
The concept of the album is an elegant but badass album. Most of the b-sides are more delicate and slow meanwhile the title track (PANDORA) is a dance EDM song that showcases the members rapping, vocals and dancing skills.
Composition and writing[]
The members produced and wrote the almost almost all by themselves, since they were new in the industry (despite having a long background of all members having something to do with the industry) they recieved the help of KRide Entertainment main producer, Dita Junior, who is always helping the members as she is really close with them.
Promotion and release[]
The release of the album was promoted worldwide and with the release of the album the group participated on multiple music and reality shows as well as the opening of their own youtube channel where they post daily (or almost daily) vlogs and behind the scenes. The members are also posting really often on tiktok promoting their songs and sometimes doing challenges or grwm.
