Boy Group Maker (보이 그룹 메이커) was a 2022 boy group survival reality created by SBC, and is the second season of the original South Korean version of the franchise. The public "produces" a boy group by choosing 9 members among 45 trainees from 24 companies through online voting and live voting with multiple elimination rounds. The public also chose the group's concept, debut song and group name.

In the season finale on March 29, 2022, which was broadcasted live, the show announced the final 9 members who would debut as ARCROWN. More than 7 million people cast their votes during the finale.

Concept[]

Boy Group Maker consisted of 50 male contestants, who were trainees under company labels, debuted idols, or individual trainees in South Korea. Though most contestants were Korean, there were Chinese, Japanese, and Taiwanese participants in addition to those from other nations. In the final episode, 9 out of the top 15 contestants were chosen to form the show's "project group" through a national fan voting system. The group will promote for four years (ending December 30, 2026) under blythe. All contestants performed with the winning team at a finale concert. The group will disband after their contracts end, allowing the members of the final lineup to return to their respective agencies.

This is the first season of the franchise which was not focused on trainees from a single company, the first season had 18 trainees from a single company, ZoneAir Music, and this season had 45 trainees among 24 entertainment companies.
