Beyond Melody Entertainment (비욘드멜로디 엔터테인먼트), is a South Korean entertainment company established in 2016 by Kim Kwang-sik.
History[]
2016-2018: Early Years and Establishment[]
Beyond Melody Entertainment was founded in 2016 by Kim Kwang-sik. Before the formation of the company, Kim Kwang-sik was a music producer under the stage name K-SELF. By Early 2017, the company started the process of trainee auditions, training, etc.
2019 - 2021: Debuts, Disbandment[]
In October 2019, the company debuted its first group, Aestendre, a five member girl group. In November 2021, the company announced that Aestendre had disbanded after 2 years due to the termination of Minhae, Camie and Yuyeon's exclusive contracts, while Members Chaesoul and Yumi remained in the company.
2022 - present: Staff changes, Debuts[]
In January 2022, Chaesoul and Yumi, former members of Aestendre, transitioned to new roles within Beyond Melody Entertainment. Chaesoul, now going by her real name, Lee Chae-sol became a creative director and Yumi, now going by her new stage name, YOUMI became the in-house choreographer and performance director.
In March 2024, Beyond Melody Entertainment announced plans for the debut of its second group in June 2024, working closely with Lee Chae-sol and YOUMI. In May, the new group was revealed to be FunKie.
