BONE ENTERTAINMENT (stylized as BONE ENT.) is a K-pop company founded by Bonbon in September of 2019. It aims to be an innovative space that gives priority to unique artistic expression and push the k-pop boundaries.[]

History[]

2019- 2020: Initial activities[]

Information about the first year of the company's operation is still unknown to the public. Bonbon is said to have created the company as a medium for publishing his own music, however after meeting and collaborating with co-CEO Zander, the two decided to invest on trainers and hold auditions for a girl group. It is alleged that during that time, Wenbin and Conner first joined the company, as vocal and dance instructors respectively.

2021: UN%CUT[]

In December of 2021, the company aired the first season of its female survival show series, UN%CUT, featuring trainees recruited during the 2019 auditions. The program received love from the public and was hailed by critics for its unique concept and fairness in screentime and lack of malicious editing and exaggerating situations, practices commonly criticized in similar shows at the time.

During the same time period, the company started recruiting male trainees quietly and plans for the formation of a boy group began circulating around the company, due to the popularity Wenbin and Conner had been receiving within the fandom.

2022: WINNER5, Company expansion[]

The first season of UN%CUT concluded, with 5-member girl group WINNER5 debuting on April 2, 2022, with the mini album "Mission One: Dilemma". The initial success of the group led to an increase in the company's profit and drew in attention of investors. Plans for a boy group and a second girl group started moving forward, with Zander rumored to be the creative director.

WINNER5 released their second mini album, "Mission Two: The Shining" on August 12, 2022. The WINNER5 members later described the production of the album as an inconsistent, exhausting, long procedure that drained them creatively. They cited multiple changes happening and the finished product being a totally different image than the one they pursued. Critics noted that the creative troubles are evident in the EP, which feels misplaced and uninspired. The group reclaimed their reputation with digital single "No More Missions", released on October 20, 2022, which was loved by fans and critics alike. At the end of the year, GEN:B, the company's platform for special cover releases was launched, with Jisun of WINNER5 releasing the first project.

2023: WINNER5 success, THE GALA, OPULENTO[]

On February 10 2023, WINNER5 released their second single album "Lovin Us". The title track "Love Dive", received positive affection and was praised for its innovative concept. The group released a scrapped track of the album, "In The Frozen" as part of GEN:B. Later that year, Yubin released a solo and Suryeon and Rania a unit project.

The company teased their second survival show, male show "THE GALA", which premiered on July of 2023. Public favorites Conner and Wenbin were selected, along with 6 other outstanding trainees, as members of the final group, OPULENTO, that debuted on 24 September of the same year, with the singles "Bring It On" and "seOul drift". The group gained a strong fanbase domestically and impressed critics both in Korea and the west.

2024: UN%CUT: SPRING, SYZYGY and indefinite halt[]

On January 26, WINNER5 returned with their first EP since 2022, "pink is not a happy color". The members and the company seemed very optimistic about the album's unique approach and concept. The group then embarked on their first world tour, promoting the album. During the year, Suryeon released her own solo, and Yubin, Jisun and Yoonhi released a celebratory cover for the group's anniverasy for GEN:B.

During February, it was announced that the company had broken ties with Yeonjun, the center of OPULENTO. Insiders report an inner conflict, the details of which have not been disclosed. Yeonjun released a special GEN:B project as a gift to his fans before leaving the company.

The long-awaited season 2 of the UN%CUT series, named "UN%CUT: SPRING" premiered on March. The season offered a reboot of the show, with a new concept, based on fairies and their superpowers. The show concluded in May, introducing the company's largest group to date, 9-member girl group SYZYGY, who debuted with the singles "Bubble Gum" and "BYOB (bring your own best friend)" on June 21, 2024.

OPULENTO's first mini album, "VISIONAIRE" was released on July 19, with minor difficulties during the production process, as mentioned by the members. The album was still praised for its sonical cohesion and expressive meaning. Conner and Hwang then collaborated with Rania and Suryeon for a special unit performance.

Following the release of "VISIONAIRE", the company announced at a press conference that activities would be halted until June of 2025 for unspecified reasons. CEO Bonbon moved to Paris with his newlywed wife, Rea, and the two are currently living privately. Wenbin of OPULENTO was appointed temporary CEO until things return to their normal state.

2025: Bonbon's solo release, rumored comebacks[]

On March 28th, Bonbon surprised his fans with the release of his debut album "Faith". The album was met with universal acclaim and chart success, while the unique concept and visual aesthetic of the album was deemed outstanding.

Insider leaks report that currently all 3 groups are preparing for album releases.
