Woo Byungchul (우병철), known as BLU (블루), is South Korean singer, rapper, songwriter and music producer, soloist and co-CEO of MAGENTA Label. He is former member of LuckY (럭와이) and it's sub-unit LYBK.
Career[]
2016-2022; LuckY membership[]
On March 24, BLU was revealed as the third member of FI Entertainment's newest group, LuckY. He made his official debut with the group on April 6, 2016 with their debut digital single "Fourth Jeopardy". On August 8, 2018 he debuted in sub-united LYBK together with Kyungmin.
2023; LuckY disbandment, MAGENTA Label, Hallyufest[]
On April 6, 2023, FI announced the group's disbandment after concluding their seven-year contract as a group. The members were not able to release a final album together before their disbandment. A week later BLU was announced as new member of MAGENTA Label, owned by his girlfriend Mia Lee. On April 18 he opened his personal Twitter account. On June 30 BLU was confirmed as one of participants of Hallyufest 2023, Korean national final for Asiavision Song Contest 2023, with song "Eye on You". Despite of being predicted winner, he placed second, failing to represent the country in the contest.
