BIO (비오) is a South Korean solo singer, songwriter, producer, rapper and actress under DOT. She made her debut on October 9, 2019 with her first digital single Stop.
Career[]
2019-2021: debut with Stop, Agency changes.[]
Baeyoon made her debut on October 9, 2019 under the stage name BIO with her first digital single Stop. A self written and produced, the song falls under pop-rap, r&b soul genres.[1]
On January 29, 2021 CHAIN Entertainment announced that BIO has terminated her contract with the agency and it's going to continue her career under a new label.[2]
2021-2022: Signing with NEBULA+[]
on March 17, 2021, NEBULA+ announced their first artist to be BIO. and that they're working on BIO's upcoming Mini-Album.[3]
on May 15, 2021, NEBULA+ announced that BIO is going to release her second Mini-Album S is for Sorry on June 9, 2021.
on September 12, 2021, NEBULA+ Announced that BIO will be releasing her first Full Album "whatever makes you sad, it won't really last, trust me" on December 1, 2021.
on April 20, 2022, House R Studio revealed that they're going to bring two more season's of the K-drama Bad B****, Down Town and BIO would be making a cameo on the upcoming season 3, which is scheduled for release on Early 2023, and have a minor role on season 4.
2023-Present: New Agency[]
On May 29, 2023, NEBULA+ announced that BIO would be departing from the label and would continue her career elsewhere.
on June 3, 2023, the newly established agency DOT announced that BIO would be the first artist of the agency. She would be releasing her first release in the label on the 4th quarter of the same year.
on October 30, 2023, DOT, revealed that BIO would be releasing her third overall mini album "Bae-Bi" on November 17, 2023, and would be the first overall release in the agency.

- She was supposed to participate on the first season of Bad Girls on Seoul. it was reported that she rejected the offer to participate.
- Her aunt is Soloist and MAKE Entertainment CEO Kim Baejeong.
- She was supposed to debut with CHAIN Entertainment's girl group AMEBA/G, but she was scrapped from the line-up and later debuted as a soloist.
- DOT offered BIO to become a member of MAZZE but she declined since she feels better continuing her solo career.
