Baek Su-na, also known as BAEKSUNA or Suna, is a Korean-Thai singer-songwriter, music producer, solo artist, model, and the CEO of New Avenue Creative. She made her official solo debut under New Avenue on November 14, 2021 with the mini album BSN.

History[]

2015-2019: Signing and training under NEON Entertainment, brief solo career[]

In 2015, Suna auditioned for NEON Entertainment while they were holding auditions for new female trainees and made it to the final auditions. She got in and began training to debut with what would become the girl group KWG. While she was training, the CEO of NEON Entertainment asked Suna if she would like to be a part of a project where trainees "pre-debut" as soloists, and she agreed. Her first venture into this project was the digital single "Infinity" which was released in 2018.

2020: Debut with KWG[]

In August 2020, Suna officially debuted as an idol in the group KWG to mild success with their single Nonstop, catching the eyes of a couple new fans and making a few thousand sales of the single. Once Nonstop ended promotions, KWG receded back into obscurity.

Early 2021: Departure from KWG and NEON Entertainment, joining New Avenue Creative[]

During and after promotions of Nonstop, Suna felt unsatisfied even though she had achieved the milestone of debuting in the K-pop industry. She found that she enjoyed her short yet freeing time as a soloist during her trainee days rather than being in a group. In Feburary 2021, following long discussions with the members and managers of KWG, Suna decided to end her contract, leaving KWG and NEON Entertainment, and finding another agency to debut as a soloist under. Around the time that she had left her previous venture, New Avenue Creative had opened up auditions for new trainees, and Suna decided to audition, although she didn't expect to pass. She was called into the final audition and passed, becoming a trainee under New Avenue.
