BAD CANDY (坏糖果) is a sub-unit of the Chinese girl group RAINBOW CANDY. They made their debut on June 3, 2022 with their first EP "The Art of BAD CANDY".
They will make their Korean debut on February 2, 2024 with their first digital single "ánimo (Smile)".
History[]
on April 10, 2022, TIANZHI Music Entertainment announced a sub-unit of RAINBOW CANDY that would be going by the name BAD CANDY. The sub-unit would take a full on Girl Crush and Powerful concept, which is different from the main group.
BAD CANDY would consist of: Wang Suyin, Zhou Lamy, Zhou Shuchun, Liu Yusheng, Liu Pangfua, Wu Dandan and Wu Daxia and would be making their big debut with their first EP "The Art of BAD CANDY".
The unit was nominated for two categories on the TACA Awards on 2022, Rising Star of The Year and Best Unit of The Year. They ended up winning Best Unit of The Year.
On January 11, 2023, TIANZHI Music Entertainment announced that BAD CANDY would be making a comeback with their second EP "EXPiRATiON". The Ep is set for release on February 7, 2023.
On August 4, 2023, the group posted an original choreography for Naughty Girl by Beyoncé and went viral across different SNS platforms, especially on Twitter and YouTube.
On December 1, 2023, TIANZHI Korea revealed that RAINBOW CANDY's sub-unit BAD CANDY would be making their Korean debut in the first quarter of 2024.
On January 15, 2024, TIANZHI Korea revealed that BAD CANDY would make their Korean debut on February 2, 2024, with their first digital single ánimo (Smile).
On August 30, 2024, TIANZHI Music Entertainment revealed that BAD CANDY will be releasing their third EP 'Attitude' on September 23, 2024.
