Kim Ari (Hangul: 김아리), known mononymously as Ari , is a South Korean-American singer-songwriter under The XOXO Label. She is a member of the girl group Viridian.
Career[]
Early life & Pre-debut activities[]
Ariana Kim, born March 28, 2001, in Richmond, Virginia, grew up immersed in both Korean and American cultures. Passionate about performing from a young age, she honed her singing and dancing skills throughout her childhood. In 2017, Ariana submitted an audition tape to Brisco Entertainment and received an offer to become a trainee, but she chose to finish high school first. Graduating in June 2019, Ariana moved to Seoul the following month to begin her rigorous trainee period. Just months into her training, she participated in the survival show Universe Viridian, which aired from February to May 2020.
2020: Universe Viridian & Debut[]
On January 25, 2020, Ariana was introduced as a contestant on Brisco Entertainment & The XOXO Label's upcoming girl group survival show, Universe Viridian, as Kim Ari. On May 5, she was announced as the first member of Viridian.
Ari made her debut with Viridian on July 20, 2020, with the group's first digital single, "Whispers of Serendipity".

- She has a pet cat named BooBoo, whom she adopted during her trainee years. She often talks about how BooBoo helped her cope with the stresses of trainee life.
