Aran (아란), is a South Korean singer under VELA. She is a member of the girl group ALUNISSAGE.
Early Life[]
Aran was born Heo A-ran (허아란) on March 14, 2001, in Gwanak-Gu, Seoul, South Korea. She has a younger brother, born in 2006. Both of her parents own a ramyeon restaurant underneath the apartment she grew up in.
She studied in America for a few months in her final year of high school.
Career[]
Pre-debut[]
Aran was scouted when working at her barista job in early 2020. Having identified a need to better her interpersonal skills, she had taken the job as a means of improving confidence and communication with strangers. Upon a successful audition cycle, Aran officially became an Aprica Entertainment trainee on April 9, 2020 and was put on the vocalist track.
Aran was a trainee for four years and three months before her debut.
2023: Transfer to VELA[]
At some point in December 2023, Aran was transferred from Aprica Entertainment to VELA to become part of Team N²G² (NAVIS NEW GIRL GROUP).
2024: Debut with ALUNISSAGE[]
Through her cameo in labelmate Helio's MV for Caffeinator, Aran was confirmed as a member of VELA's new girl group despite her unknown identity.
On July 27, 2024, ALUNISSAGE released a music video featuring Aran for "Attention", the lead single of their debut mini-album ALNSG. Aran debuted as the group's lead vocalist and face of the group.
Personality[]
Aran is a calm and relaxed individual. Unlike Molly whose relaxedness comes across as poise and elegance, Aran's comes across as being chill and always being able to go with the flow. The 'Dad' of the group, it is Aran's self-undertaken job to relax the members when they get into a tizz and remind them that things will take as long as they need and that perfection needs time to develop.
She cares deeply for her girls and will always be the support if they need it. Her humour is often mature and subdued, sarcastic with hints of teasing. Aran enjoys pranking her members but will always do her upmost to make sure they are okay after the fact. Her laugh is infectious and she is often the butt of many a prank as her members see who can get her to lose her chill.
