apus (Korean: 에이퍼스; Japanese: エイパース) symbolized also as αpus is an 5-Members Multinational girl group currently independent. Originally as 7, hey made their debut on June 14, 2022 with their first mini album Cataclysmic Constellation.

History[]

Pre-Debut[]

after PickPot Studio's establishment it was revealed right away that a girl group has been under works for almost two years and that details about the group would be announced very soon.

Debut[]

on February 1, 2022, PickPot Studio opened the official Twitter, YouTube, FanCafe and Website for their first girl group after establishment, apus. After the account's opening the two first members Jinsyou and Seena were revealed alongside the official logo motion for the group. The next members, Gwen, Kyorin and Mai were revealed on February 2, 2022, the final two members Aiyi and Vina were revealed on February 3, 2022, The same day, PickPot Studio revealed that the girls will be making their big debut on April of this year, details would be revealed during March of the same year.

The fandom name Ara was revealed on February 10, 2022, during the group's first V-Live, the name is taken from the constellation of the same name.

On March 12, 2022, PickPot Studio revealed that Gwen, Jinsyou and Mai have tested positive with COVID-19, and that they would be postponing the debut to June of this year.

on March 30, 2022, PickPot Studio revealed that Gwen Jinsyou and Mai have tested negative with COVID-19 after the self quarantine and would resume their activities with the group.

On May 6, 2022, PickPot Studio announced that Apus would make their big debut with their first mini album Cataclysmic Constellation, the mini is set to be released on June 14, 2022.

2023-Present[]

On January 14, 2023, PickPot Studio announced that Apus would be making a comeback with their second mini album Crystalized Utopia. The mini is set for release on February 11, 2023.

On July 21, 2023, PickPot Studio announced the departures of Kyorin and Aiyi for personal reasoning. The company revealed that apus would continue promotions as 5-members. They also revealed that the comeback originally which was scheduled for August would be postponed to October.

On September 18, 2023, PickPot Studio revealed that apus would make their big comeback on October 11, 2023, with their third mini album Concrete Light.

On April 3, 2024, PickPot Studio revealed that apus would be making a comeback with their first single album Amoeba. The single would be released on April 29, 2024.

On July 17, 2024, PickPot Studio revealed that apus is preparing for their next comeback sometime within the next few months, the group would be pre-releasing their first digital single "Cherry On Top" on August 5, 2024.

On November 11, 2024, DisKover announced that a documentary surrounding the girl group apus would be published on the groups YouTube channel about their career and what has happened after the departure of Kyorin and Aiyi, as well as other information. It is also rumored that the group might have changed agencies but that is yet to be confirmed. The documentary would be released on December 2, 2024.

On December 2, 2024, apus released their self-made documentary "apus: Fallen Constellation", on the documentary they revealed that they will continue to promote under PickPot Studio and that they would be working with the agency for better treatment and more future promotions. It also was revealed that during the group's first comeback preparations member Mai had an accident during practice where she slipped and hit the ground and the company didn't give a proper hiatus to the member. However at the end of the documentary it was revealed that PickPot Studio took accountability and would begin a proper promotion for the girl group starting with their next upcoming release.

On April 2, 2025, apus announced the departure from PickPot Studio. The members revealed that after a long discussion with the agency they couldn't reach a mutual agreement and that they see no future under the agency so they've decided to leave the agency and terminate their contracts. PickPot studio released a statement that same day confirming the news and they put out that the copyrights of the group name and every release would be passed to the members of the group itself, the agency wished good luck to the members and hopefully they find what they always wanted.

On April 11, 2025, apus uploaded their first YouTube video after the departure from PickPot Studio revealing that they won't give up and will return stronger than ever with or without an agency.
