Anatoly is a Russian Chinese trainee under Space Entertainment. He has been living in South Korea for most of his school life after applying for a student exchange and discovering that he loved the country. He is an only child. He is best known for competing in the survival show Space Cadets: The First Planet.
History[]
Anatoly was born in Russia to a mixed Chinese-Russian family. He has one older sister and a younger brother who is also interested in joining the idol industry.
Anatoly went on an international exchange to a Korean school when he was in primary school. He ended up creating lots of new friends and found that he enjoyed living there more than his hometown. When his exchange ended he told his parents about his time and he begged them to move there. They refused to and instead he decides to get them to go for a holiday there to understand where he is coming from. They still refused to let him move there and so he decides to see if he could move there and go to a boarding school. They give in and they let him move to a private boarding school. For a while he kept in touch with his parents before he realised that he hadn’t been getting letters back for months. He discovers that he actually really dislikes the boarding school and wants to leave but the school is unable to get in touch with his parents. Soon a friend from outside of the school asks if he would like to live with him. This friend soon becomes his partner and they end up creating plans for a life together once they are adults.
Anatoly ends up living with his partner from then on. They both love the k-pop genre and talked a lot about what it would be like to be an idol. His partner wasn’t interested in becoming an idol and preferred to stay outside of the spotlight. Whilst Anatoly was the same, he still wanted to give it a go and he soon auditions to become a Space Entertainment trainee. He ends up being accepted and he ends up moving out and living in their dorms. His partner fully supports him. Whilst his partner would rather stay outside of the spotlight he has given Anatoly permission to talk about him in interviews.
Anatoly realised he was gay when he was around ten years old. He didn't have a name for it then but he would notice that he would feel an attraction to male actors and characters. It wasn't until he was twelve did he discover the name for his attraction when he ends up finding a school group that was centered around LGBTQ+ issues within the country and around the world. He ended up part of that group and has been proudly out as gay ever since then. Whilst a few of his friends didn't understand most of them have gone off to try and increase their understanding.
