Anna Natocava (better known under the name of Ana.N) is a Russian-Irish solo artist under the South Korean record label SM Entertainment. She officially debut with the official debut single "1, 2, 3, 4" in Inkigayo on the 8th of June 2014. She is a member of the female unit GOT the beat, as part of SM's Girls On Top project.

History[]

1999-2012: Humble beginnings with Junior Eurovision[]

Anna Natocava was born in Moscow, Russia on the 19th of July 1999, but was raised in Cork, Ireland a month later. At 7 years of age, she started singing as well as dancing. In 2009, when she was 10 years old, she was a finalist for Ireland's Junior Eurovision Song Contest national selection called "Junior Eurosong 2009" with her self-written song "Me & The Sun", she came 5th place in the final, a year later, she took part again on "Junior Eurosong 2010", but as a member and main vocalist of a band called "ForEyes" with the song "30th Century Girl", they came 4th in the super final, they were disbanded afterwards, but a year later, Anna came back as a soloist for "Junior Eurosong 2011" with another self-written song by herself called "Carnival Of Stars", she was the winner and she secure herself representing Ireland in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2011 in Yerevan, Armenia, she came 6th place with 92 points. In 2012, she went to Seoul, South Korea for SM Entertainment's Youth Star Audition 2012 as well as a trainee spot and she did secure the spot, but during her training, she took part on "Melodifestivalen Junior Ireland 2013" (another Irish national selection for Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013) with the song "The Bad Girl" and she won again as both the international juries and the audience voted on Anna for representing Ireland in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Kyiv, Ukraine. She came 5th place with 102 points.

2013-2014: Japanese debut, official Korean debut, It's Over and Rockefeller Street[]

On January 2013, Anna signed up a contract on a Japanese record label EMI Records Japan and her official Japanese single will be called "Heart-Pounding Love Mail" which it was released on the 9th of April 2013, it came at number 10 on the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart.

Before Christmas 2013, Anna released her pre-debut digital single called "Red Candle" (written and composed by Jonghyun from SHINee) while her official Korean debut will be for mid 2014.

On February 2014, Peach-colored Unrequited Love (桃色片思い) was released in Japan, her single was number 1 on the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart. It was her only chart-topping single under her own full name.

On late May 2014, Anna announce that she will be using a new stage name called "Ana.N" for her Korean debut on June and her official debut single title track will be titled "1, 2, 3, 4"

On August 2014, SM Entertainment announce Ana.N's 1st comeback with a 1st mini album "1st Love" with the title track "It's Over" for the 4th of September 2014.

Later that year before Halloween 2014, SM Entertainment announce another Ana.N comeback with a repackage mini album "Rockefeller Street" and 2 more tracks (including the title track of the same name).

2015: 1st Awards, Lost Angel (Feat. SHINee), Love Love Love, It's My Life, 지금 (Right Now), Attending her 1st MAMA.[]

In January 2015, during Golden Disc Awards 2015 and Seoul Music Awards 2015, when Ana.N received her 1st awards there, she was also rumored that she would comeback with her 1st Korean full-length album for April.

On March 2015, SM Entertainment announced a surprise MV called "Lost Angel (Feat. SHINee)" for a late April comeback.

On April 26, 2015 Anna's first full-length album titled Love Love Love was released. The single of the same name that promoted this album turned out to be a success not only in Korea but also abroad, a month later It's My Life was released as a follow up single. The artist also decided to release a repackage album entitled Right Now in August of the same year. There are 4 new songs on it: 지금 (Right Now), Real Life, THANK U VERY MUCH (ft. Leah, L.Lyn and Niamh of sunTRiBeZ) and Warrior. In addition, she took part in the MAMA ceremony in Hong Kong, where she received an award in the Best Solo Dance Performance category for It's My Life. This year, Anna also received an award at the 2015 MelOn Music Awards in the Top 10 Artists Award (for Love Love Love), 2015/2016 MBC Entertainment Awards: Best Excellence in Music, Best Teen Star, 2015/2016 Japan Gold Disk Awards: Best 3 Albums Asia (Ana N. - Love Love Love - The 1st Album), 2015/2016 Seoul Music Awards: Bonsang (for Love Love Love: The 1st Album), Best Dance Performance Award (for It's My Life), 2015/2016 Golden Disk Awards: Bonsang (for Love Love Love: The 1st Album), Popularity Award (with SHINee) and 2015/2016 Gaon Chart K-Pop Awards: Hot Performance of the Year (for It's My Life) (Along with VIXX), Song Of The Year (May) (for Love Love Love), Song of the Year (June) (for It's My Life).

2016-2017: 17 (Seventeen), I'm Good to Dance All Nite, 1st Concert Tour and rising popularity.[]

In early January 2016, Anna released her next single, No Goodbyes, which promoted her second Korean mini album 17 (Seventeen). A few months later (May) she released a repackage of this album titled Rose, which included 3 new songs: Rose, My Love and Next My Self. The album's success meant that she was invited to collaborate with soloist NaNa from NEON Entertainment (at that time she was a member of the co-ed project group named REAL, currently she is a member of girlsband WEON). Together, they released a single called Egoist, which was released as part of her next mini-album, I'm Good To Dance All Nite. In early September, SM Entertainment announce Anna's 1st ever domestic Korean Concert tour entitled "Ana.N In Wonderland" starting in Seoul's Jamsil Arena to associate her next mini album. The tour continued with big successes in Tokyo, Osaka and Saitama during Halloween week 2016. She later released "I'm Good" a week before the mini-album I'm Good To Dance All Nite which it was released a week later alongside with the title track Dance All Nite, she then went to Taipei, Taiwan before Christmas 2016. She later had an announcement during her concert stop in Singapore that she will be having 5 Special Edition encore concerts in Osaka Dome (3) and Tokyo Dome (2) for July dates.

2017: Birthday Song and Don't Say (You Love Me).[]

On May 7, 2017 SM Entertainment announced that Ana will released an untitled song somewhere in 2nd half of May-early June 2017. A few days later Ana announced via her Instagram, that the 'untitled song' is "생일 축하해 (Birthday Song)", which it was a Korean remake of a album track of UK children's co-ed group "Tweenies" and Ana also announced that she also wrote Korean lyrics for the Korean market and there's also a remixed version of "Carnival of Stars (2017 Korean Ver.)" for her 1st Korean best album "Anna Natocava/Ana.N Korea Best Collection 2013-2017" on the 23rd of May 2017 and started promoting the album 2 days later on M Countdown, she later finished promoting on the 3rd of June on Inkigayo. On August 1, 2017 SM Entertainment announce that Ana.N will be releasing another single "Don't Say (You Love Me)" on the 7th, to promote that time, she didn't took part on various music shows, instead she was a special radio DJ with Taemin from SHINee on NCT's Night Night.

During mid December 2017, Ana.N was scheduled to perform at both the annual KBS Song Festival and MBC Gayo Daejejeon, but pulled out a week after the death of fellow labelmate and member of SHINee, Jonghyun.

2018: Daydream, Coming-Of-Age Ceremony '18, Miracles in December and worldwide recognition.[]

On February 1, 2018, SM Entertainment announce that Ana.N will be having her 1st comeback for 2018 with her second full-length album Daydream as well as the title track of the same name on the 12th. "백일증 (Daydream)" also turns out to be very successful in not just Korea, Japan and the rest of Asia, but also in Europe and America as well.

On May 14, 2018, SM Entertainment announced that Ana.N will be releasing her 2nd album repackage for "Daydream" called "Nightmare" on the 5th of June with 2 new tracks (Including "Coming-Of-Age Ceremony '18" (A remake of Park Ji-yoon's 2000 hit) and "My Show Must Go On"), 1 previously unreleased live version of Timeless featuring the late Jonghyun and 1 remix of "Daydream". Later that day, SM Entertainment also announced that Ana.N will be having her 1st world tour entitled "A Global Vacation with ANA.N" starting at Seoul World Cup Stadium in Seoul for July 13 through 15th, she even went to Japan, China, Malaysia, Taiwan, the Philippines, Sydney, Australia, Europe (UK, Ireland, Netherlands, France) and Hong Kong and finally finish it with 3 more concerts at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on October 12 to 14.

Then finally, on mid November, SM Entertainment did announced Ana's last comeback album for 2018 with a winter special album "Life in Winter" and title track "Miracles in December" on December 4, 2018.

2019: Focusing in Japan tour, Eurovision Song Contest 2019, Summer Daze, 1st dome tour in Japan[]

At the end of 2018, SM Entertainment announced that Ana.N will be focusing on her tours in Japan. A few weeks later, she held her first ever Japan arena tour titled "1st Japan Arena Tour: ~GO! Making Gold~".

On May 16, 2019, Ana appeared as the Irish representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with her song "I'm So Sorry, Baby!". Unfortunately, Ana placed 13th in the 2nd semi-final and couldn't make it to the grand final. Shortly after her appearance in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019, Ana rumored her next summer-themed comeback to be released in July, which there will be both a birthday party and 5th debut anniversary fan-meet for 3 shows in 2 days before the release.

On July 22, 2019, she officially released her newest summer mini album "I ❤️(Luv) Summer" with the title track "Summer Daze".

After the success of her comeback in July 2019, Ana.N returned to Japan for her second tour titled "2nd Japan Dome Tour: ~Sexy! Making Gold~".

2020: Hiatus during COVID-19, 1st online concert, Knock Out, Joining DoReMi Market as fixed cast member[]

During Christmas 2019, SM Entertainment announced that Ana.N will be performing on her 3rd Japanese tour from February to May 2020. However 2 months later, COVID-19 came around the world and SM Entertainment officially cancelled Ana.N's Japanese tour as well as not rescheduling the tour. During the same month, SM Entertainment have announced Ana.N's short hiatus.

At late August 2020, SM Entertainment announce that Ana.N will held her 1st ever online concert via Beyond LIVE entitled "An Once-off Journey" on September 20, 2020, making herself the 1st solo artist as well as the 1st female soloist to perform and held a online concert under the streaming service. One week later, Ana.N will be having a comeback on Mid-October with a mini album. This would be 1 year and 3 months since her last album.

On October 13, 2020, Ana.N did release her 4th Mini album "Knock Out" with the title track of the same name and it did went really well on the music charts.

On October 20, Ana.N (alongside Key of SHINee and Hanhae) have joined on as a fixed member for Amazing Saturday - DoReMi Market, replacing actress Lee Hyeri, starting from November 21 (Date of broadcasting).

2021: Sonata of Temptation '21, 2nd online concert, I ❤️(Luv) Summer II, Perfect Lie, GOT the beat[]

On January 4, 2021, Ana.N did release her repackaged mini album “Knock Inside” and the title track is “Sonata of Temptation ‘21” which it was originally sung by IVY.

On May 21, 2021, Ana.N announced via both Instagram and Twitter that she will hold another online concert on June 20, 2021.

During Beyond LIVE: ANA.N - S.U.M.M.E.R L.u.v, Ana.N will also release even new music through her 3rd full-length album for November 1, 2021.

On December 27, 2021 it was revealed that Ana.N would be part of the new unit "GOT the beat" from the project Girls On Top alongside BoA, Taeyeon & Hyoyeon from Girls' Generation, Wendy & Seulgi from Red Velvet and Karina and Winter from aespa making their debut with the digital single "Step Back" on January 3, 2022.
