Alkali Metals (알칼리 메탈스) is the first "series" sub-unit of unlimited-member group ELEMENT. Consisting of Choi Seungyoon, Bak Eunhwi, Jace, Song Sulhyeong, Moony, Trevor, and Cheon Hyungdon, they made their debut on June 19, 2025, with the single "lE-go!"
The name refers to the first series of the periodic table named "Alkali Metals".
History[]
2025-present: Formation, "lE-go!"[]
On May 14, 2025, the group announced that 20 sub-units, based on series of the Periodic Table, will be created. Additionally, the units were set to be permanent. On the same day, 5 sub-units, including Alkali Metals, were introduced. The members of the unit were announced to consist of Choi Seungyoon, Bak Eunhwi, Jace, E19, E37, E55, and E87. On May 19, Song Sulhyeong was introduced as a member of the unit, followed by Moony on May 20, Trevor on May 21, and finally Cheon Hyungdon on May 22.
On May 27, 2025, ELEMENTERTAINMENT announced that Alkali Metals would be releasing their first single in June of 2025, which will include a unit version of "That Aviator", the title track from ELEMENT's debut album absolutE zEro. On June 7, 2025, Alkali Metals announced that they will release their debut single "lE-go!" on June 19.
