Alison Lee also known by her stage name Lina is a Korean New Zealander trainee under Space Entertainment. She is currently participating in the survival show Kingdom Climbers.

History[]

Before Space Entertainment[]

Lina was born on November 12th 2007 in Auckland, New Zealand to a Korean mother and a New Zealand Father. They both work in the medical profession. She is an only child.

Lina has always been a shy person and so as she was growing up she always struggled with opening up and befriending others around her. She has always had a love for singing and dancing and that was something that helped her to escape her loneliness and anxiety. Her parents always pushed her to join choirs or to join clubs that focused on singing or dancing but she always refused because of her anxiety and preference to sing alone.

She discovered k-pop at a young age because of her mother who loved listening to k-pop. Lina started to properly listen to k-pop when she is around twelve years old. She became a fan of girl groups and learned many of their lyrics and dances. She never had thoughts about becoming an idol until she sees a sign up sheet at school that wanted to create a school k-pop group. She told her parents about it and they pushed her to join. She does join the group and it helps with her anxiety. It also helped her develop her singing and dancing ability.

When she is fourteen she discovers an online advertisement from a company looking for trainees. At first she is unsure if she should apply but after a few days of thinking about it she decides to audition for the company certain that she is not going to make it. A month later she gets an acceptance letter through the mail and is incredibly surprised that she was accepted. She joins Space Entertainment in March 2023.

2023 - 2024: Trainee Life, Near Debut and Dingle Dangle[]

When she joins the company she feels quite lonely even though most trainees treat her well and are warm towards her. There were only a couple of trainees she felt uncomfortable around.

The company has a ranking system and she ends up being a high ranking trainee making it so she is able to join a group or go solo. She was supposed to debut with Synesthesia but her anxiety got the better of her and she left the group before it was announced meaning that she was never announced as an official member.

At the end of 2023 she ends up applying and joining Dingle Dangle as contestant representing Space Entertainment. She is eliminated in the first mission and ends up in 35th place. She decides to try and work harder on all her skills and adds in rapping into the mix to see if that will be something she could try to master. She also hopes to become more confident in herself.

After Dingle Dangle she applies and joins SOL&YOUNG Vocal Studio so she can practice her singing and increase her understanding in vocal work.
