Aki (아키), is a Japanese singer, model, actor and M.C. under ODDYSSEY. He is a member of the boy group YZTRULY and a former member of the trainee team, TENROOKIES.
History[]
Early-life[]
Aki is the oldest twin brother in a multicultural family to a Japanese father of Zainichi Korean descent and Japanese mother from Okinawa Islands.
Aki started playing soccer when he was six, he belonged to Tokyo Verdy when he was young. He originally went to a college on a soccer recommendation, but did not pursue a soccer career. Aki was strongly influenced by his academic and artistic parents. He started playing piano at the age of seven until High School. He graduated from Toho High School, a private school, in Nagoya on 2019.
Aki won the second place for 30th Junon Superboy Contest with over 17,000 applicants in 2017. He officially made his debut on December 29, 2020 as Karizaki Sento.
Career[]
2020-2022: Debuted as an Actor and MC[]
Aki made his acting debut in the 2020 Japanese action film "Men on Fire".
Following his popularity has been increased, he was made the Korean Tourism Honorary Ambassador by the Korea Tourism Organization to actively promote Korean tourism worldwide.
On June 1, 2021, Ivory Entertainment Group announced that Aki would be taking a hiatus due to extreme panic and anxiety disorders. He would later resumed his solo activities as an actor in November 2021.
In February 2022, he was later cast to play as the protagonist Momoi Taro in Avataro Sentai Donbrothers, the 46th Super Sentai series. He was later praised that he won two award in Asia Rising Screen Awards, such as Best Actor in Drama Category and Next Level Award.
2023-present: YZTRULY, TENROOKIES, YZTRULY[]
Sometimes later in 2023, Aki was confirmed as an MC for boy group survival show Tidal Boys which aired on MBS in February. However, he ended up being cut from the final lineup of DURENDAL. Aki presumably resumed his training in the company before leaving a month later to join EKLEIPSIS Entertainment, being a member of TENROOKIES.
Aki then left EKLEIPSIS to transition into the company's newest label spearheaded by creative director and cinematographer Jang Haim named ODDYSSEY. He successfully transferred to the company and started training around early 2024 to 2025.
Aki was then confirmed as a member of YZTRULY.
