Ah Jin (아진) is a South Korean singer and dancer under Dot Project and PHX Entertainment. She is a member of the girl group PRISMATIC.
Early life[]
Kim Ah-Jin was born from an upper-class family in Udo Island, Jeju City, South Korea. She is the daughter of a prestigious chef father and a famous fashion designer mother. Her parents divorced when she was just 4, and then she moved with her mother and older brother to Dongdaemun District in Seoul at a very young age because of her mother's desire to open a bigger boutique and be even more sucessfull. Ah Jin started taking dance classes when she was as young as 3 years old, since she was inspired by her brother that was in a dance crew. At the age of 13, she became a fan of BTS, and since then her desire to pursue a music career grew. She later opened SNS accounts where she would start posting dance and vocal covers. She generated a lot of buzz and got decent popularity because of some of her satirical tweets getting viral, and for being Da Yeong-Ja's daughter.
Trainee in PHX Entertainment (2021-2022)[]
Ah Jin auditioned for PHX Entertainment sometimes in 2021. She was immediately accepted, with an exceptional favoritism from its CEO, Park Dae Hyun, and her profile photo for PHX Rookies was released on December 23, 2021, along with her dormmate Oh Umji's one. She was also revealed as the leader of the PHX Girls trainee unit.
Debut with PRISMATIC (2022-present)[]
On October 29, 2022, she was revealed as the sixth member of then-upcoming girl group PRISMATIC. They officially debuted on December 21, 2022 with their mini album First Love Moment.
