ANP U (새로운 길 유) is the first sub-unit of ANP. The unit plans to be a rotational unit, where the unit will release original music and collaboration singles with ANSHINGYU trainees. They debuted on May 1, 2024, with their first single album "PING".
History[]
Pre-debut[]
On January 1, 2024, plans for debuting the group's first sub-units in 2024, ANP U and ANP Tiger, were revealed. On the same day, it was announced that ANP U would be a rotational unit and will release original songs as well as collaboration singles with selected trainees from ANSHINGYU that are likely to join ANP.
On February 13, Byulju revealed on the official social media that he would be leaving the group to focus on acting as well as being diagnosed with osteoporosis. The same day, Sulbin was revealed as a new member.
2024: Debut with "PING", "VINTAGE", "BABY GO CRAZY", lineup changes[]
On April 19, a teaser was posted on ANP's social media pages, revealing ANP U's debut single album to be "PING", which is set to release on May 1.
On July 10, the unit's next lineup was revealed, revealing that Seungho, Sulbin, Minho, Roveno, and Seungjong had been switched out, while Hyungjoon, Bonguk, Rinni, Kihyon, Taejun, and DASHER were added. Members Seungmin, Baekhyeon, and Jin were revealed to be participating in the second lineup.
On September 29, it was reported that Taejun would be leaving ANP, and consequently ANP U, as he had found that his true passion in music was producing music. The same report also revealed that Taejun had lost motivation of being an idol and wanted to focus on producing. He is expected to remain with the company as an in-house producer.
On October 12, it was announced that ANP U will release their second album "VINTAGE" on October 25. It was also revealed that Seulchan had joined the lineup for the release, replacing former member Taejun.
On December 6, 2024, Kangmin, Seonwon, Qi, and Seunghyeon were announced as new members, while Seungjong was announced to have re-joined. The same day, the group announced their upcoming single album "BABY GO STUPID" that is set to be released on December 14. The release is scheduled to be ANP's last release for 2024.
On December 31, 2024, the group announced their fourth lineup to consist of new members Byunho, Eiji, Kameron, Jongryul, Kiron, Junmyeong, Gyeowool, and Irang. Additionally, the unit announced that Bonguk, Sulbin, and Seungho would return to the unit.
2025-present: TASTE[]
On March 21, 2025, Shingyu Studio announced that Byunho would be halting activities with ANP due to personal circumstances. As a result, Shingyu Studio announced that Byunho has essentially been removed from promoting with ANP U's next lineup and that ANP U will introduce a member to retain the 11-member lineup. On March 27, 2025, the unit announced their next comeback with their first mini album TASTE, set to be released on April 11, 2025. Additionally, Musaeng was revealed to be the member replacing Byunho for the release.
