ANP (새로운 길, read as A New Path), also known as A New Path, is an unlimited member boy group under Shingyu Studio. They debuted on August 15, 2022, with the mini album a road.
As of February 18, 2024, the group currently contains 34 members and 18 unit-exclusive members,
Name & concept[]
Name[]
The name "ANP" is an acronym for "A New Path", headed by the line "A New Path to success has been found".
Concept[]
The group revolves around being divided into units and promoting as a certain number of members. As they are an unlimited member boy group, members can freely join in and leave as they want. This is what is referred to as the graduation system, where members can freely leave if they want to focus on another area, focus on studies, etc.
As well, the group has fixed units, rotational units, one-time units, and collaboration units. These units' members are either pre-determined by the company or will allow fans to select members from the group and possibly unit-exclusive members to join the unit to release material.
In mentioning of unit exclusive members, units may contain different selections of members purely from ANSHINGYU, the trainee group for the group, to cover a specific field of music. For instance, ANP Death Angelz consists of members who are talented and well-knowing of the band field of music. These members will likely never promote with the main group; however, they may have a chance of releasing something with the group, but it will likely be determined by the company. This applies to joining fixed units as well.
On August 28, 2024, a new member reveal system was announced, where selected trainees from ANSHINGYU will participate in votes to reveal which trainee(s) will be joining ANP. Fans can vote for a selected number of trainees, while members can "endorse" certain trainees, providing a boost to the trainee(s). These elected trainees will release a non-promotional song where it will be passed off as either a solo project or a unit release.

On May 2, PY uploaded a dance cover that featured 7 members. 4 of the members were recognized to be Hyungjoon, Seungmin, Youngmin, and Daehyun. The 3 other members were rather unknown, but after some digging done by netizens, the 3 members were revealed to be Chun Hyun, Seojoon, and Minki. However, after 3 dance covers were uploaded, the 4th dance cover showed only 6 members, which sparked rumors that a trainee left. Later, on May 7, PY announced that trainee Minki had departed from the company and group.
On January 6, 2022, the group released a pre-debut single titled "MOON".
On April 2, 2022, PY announced the departures of members Chun Hyun and Daehyun. Later, on April 8, PY revealed 2 replacement members Seunghyeon and Seungho. PY also announced the group would release their 2nd pre-debut song sometime in May. However, on May 21, the 2nd pre-debut was cancelled for unknown reasons. Thus, PY announced in August, they would start teasing their debut.
However, sometime in May, PY announced the 2 newly added members, Seunghyeon and Seungho, would be participating in Star Maker X 101, which means both will be on hiatus until further notice. In the meantime, trainees Seonwon and Jin joined the group. Seunghyeon and Seungho were both eliminated, placing 71st and 16th respectively. Baekhyeon, a former Star Maker X 101 contestant, was confirmed to join the group.
2022: Debut, addition of Roveno, water drop, "Arctic Fever", first win[]
A teaser was released on August 5, 2022, which was their debut, confirming it to be a mini album with the name a road. The album is expected to be released on August 15. Members Seungho, Seunghyeon, and Baekhyeon were confirmed to not be appearing in the music video and promotions, but will be featured in 2-3 B-sides.
On September 4, it was announced Star Maker X 101 contestant Roveno had signed with PY Studios and had joined the group. A song titled "Into The Starlight" was released on September 18th, 2022.
On November 18, a teaser was revealed, revealing the group's upcoming comeback and first studio album titled water drop, set to be released on November 23. On November 28, ANP took home their first ever music show win on Beat Bop.
On December 16, they announced that they will release "Arctic Fever" on December 20, as part of the Christmas Wishes Project.
2023: Youngmin's hiatus and eventual departure, AN3S, addition of Minho, Flower Power, reorganization, "Super Lover".[]
Sometime in February, it was announced ANP would be making their second comeback with an untitled mini album in April. Later, on February 24, Youngmin was announced to have gone on hiatus due to family reasons, and that the comeback will be promoted as 9.
On March 29, it was announced that the April comeback had been postponed indefinitely, as well as a new sub-unit, AN3S, consisting of members Seungho, Seonwon, and Seojoon, was formed, and is assumed that the unit will be debuting in April. They made their debut on July 13, 2023, with the mini album Keep Going! Stand Up!.
On July 16, it was reported that Youngmin would be departing from the group due to worsening anxiety and to focus on his mental health but will remain under Highline Media to prepare for an acting career, and that a new member is planned to be added to the group. The next day, Minho was announced as a new member.
On September 6, a message was posted on their social media accounts, revealing that the group will release their second mini album Flower Power on September 18.
On November 17, it was announced that ANP will reorganize as an unlimited member group. 2 days later, Seungjong was revealed as a new member.
On December 2, it was announced that ANP will release their first single album "Super Lover" on December 6, while simultaneously announcing 2 new members. The next day, Byulju was revealed as a new member, followed by Riko on December 4. On December 6, it was announced that the group has moved to a new label formed by creative director Han Yunmook as a subsidiary of Highline Media focused separately on ANP named Shingyu Studio. It was also announced that a new trainee group affiliated with ANP, ANSHINGYU, has been established. The group will have trainees that are potential candidates to join ANP, as well as having a chance to release collaborations with the members.
2024: Sub-units, lineup changes, Electronic Fluidity, a campsite[]
On January 6, it was announced that the first ANP unit to debut would be a band unit named ANP Death Angelz that would exclusively consist of members that will not promote in the group, and will be debuting on January 12 with the mini album Death Angel in <3. The same day, Gyeowool was revealed as the first member. On January 8, Shingyu Studio announced that the group would be collaborating with seVenwrld in the new unit ANWRLD. The unit's lineup will be decided through a fan vote, with the expected lineup to consist of 8 members, containing 4 ANP members and seVenwrld members.
On February 9, Eiji was announced as a new member, followed by Quyen the next day. 3 days later, Byulju revealed on the official social media that he would be leaving the group to focus on acting as well as being diagnosed with osteoporosis. The same day, Sulbin was revealed as a new member. On February 18, it was reported that Musaeng and Taegyun, former members of SNSH, had signed with Shingyu Studio and would make their debut as a duo under the ANP brand named ANP MuSaeng&TaeGyun. The duo plans to debut in April.
On March 9, Shingyu Studio announced that selected members from ANSHINGYU: Woongin, Bonguk, DASHER, and Nobaru, who will join ANP as new members, will record a pre-release of their upcoming second studio album titled "Sweet Danger". The company also announced that the group, with selected members of the main group and unit members, plan to release 3 more pre-release singles in May, July, and September, as a way of promoting the album months before its intended release.
On April 7, Rinni and Junmyeong were announced as new members. 9 days later, a collaboration unit with ANSHINGYU, ANP Shin, was announced, where every release would contain 4 ANSHINGYU trainees and 1 ANP member. The first lineup is expected to be revealed in their first teaser. On May 4, following the announcement of ANP spba, Yunseob, Geumhae, and Byunho were announced as new members of ANP. On May 9, a teaser was released, where it was revealed that Eiji, Sulbin, Junmyeong, Jin, Riko, Seungjong, DASHER, and Nobaru will release the second pre-release single "One More Chance and a Choice" the next day.
On June 16, a project, a campsite, detailed to have various ANP members, including exclusive members, release solo songs throughout the year, was announced. On July 2, Seulchan, Taejun, and Yun were announced as new members.
On July 27, it was reported that ANP's second studio album had been pushed forward to late August. On the same day, their second studio album, Electronic Fluidity, was announced.
On August 8, ANP announced their next fixed unit, ANP Varius. The unit is set to consist of 6 members and will focus on a variety of different concepts.

On September 26, 2024, ANP S.O.T.A was announced as the tenth overall unit. The unit aims to "nurture" ANSHINGYU trainees that were voted into joining ANP. 3 days later, it was reported that Taejun would be leaving ANP, as he had found that his true passion in music was producing music. The same report also revealed that Taejun had lost motivation of being an idol and wanted to focus on producing. He is expected to remain with the company as an in-house producer.
On November 11, 2024, Shingyu Studio announced that Electronic Fluidity would be the last group release, as the group plans on primarily promoting in units, although the possibility of a full-group comeback was still being discussed. The same day, Shingyu Studio announced that ANP had formed its last sub-unit of 2024, ANP NF. With the NF standing for "New Fusion", the sub-unit was introduced as the group's third exclusive sub-unit and the group's first "country" unit, as ANP NF will be primarily promoting in Japan. The number of members was revealed to be 6, consisting of those from ANSHINGYU.
On December 14, 2024, Seulzin. Irang, Kameron, Kiron, Eunchong, Jora, and Jongryul were announced as new members following the end of the group's second member entry.
2025-present: Sub-units, Byunho's hiatus[]
On January 2, 2025, the group revealed 3 upcoming "fixed" units; ANP LM, ANP Liber, and ANP HiP. All members were introduced sometime later.
On February 1, 2025, Shingyu Studio announced the establishment of C Label, a label that will house the Chinese unit of ANP. Later, on March 15, 2025, the group announced their second regional sub-unit and Chinese unit NewVibe. On the same day, the unit was revealed to be acting as an independent group away from the ANP brand and that Roveno and Yun would be members of the group, however the company further reiterated that the 2 members would not leave ANP and would be joined by 3 new members.
On March 21, 2025, Shingyu Studio announced that Byunho would be halting activities with ANP due to personal circumstances. As a result, Shingyu Studio announced that Byunho has essentially been removed from promoting with ANP U's next lineup and that ANP U will introduce a member to retain the 11-member lineup, while ANP HiP, where Byunho is a member of, will debut as six.
