5RUSH (파이브러쉬), also known as CRUSH, is a five-member multinational group under MYMIND. Consisting of Zhao.H, Seunga, Jiyeon, Avaron, and Aria, they made their debut on February 9, 2017, with the mini album Wormhole ~ Crush U.

History[]

Pre-debut[]

Prior to the group's debut, a reality show, Project 5RUSH, was aired. It aimed to debut the company's next group out of 8 trainees, with 5 trainees debuting, while the 3 eliminated would remain under the company.

On the finale, Zhao.H, Seunga, Jiyeon, Avaron, and Aria were announced as the debut trainees. The group was revealed to debut next month.

2017: Debut with Wormhole ~ Crush U, "The Girls"[]

On February 9, the group made their debut with Wormhole ~ Crush U with "Party" serving as the album's title track. Unfortunately, the album did not succeed, as the album sold approximately 5,000 album sales.

On October 27, after months of inactivity, the group released their first single album "The Girls".

2018: Avaron's hiatus and return, Listen!, who[]

On May 27, it was announced that Avaron would go on hiatus due to anxiety, and the group would promote as 4 for the meanwhile. The same day, they announced their first studio album Listen! to be released on June 10. The album was released on the aformentioned date, with "HXNEY" as the title track.

On December 1, it was reported that Avaron would return to the group after her anxiety conditions had lessened. On December 28, they released their second mini album who.

2019: "Look", "Wannabe", Retro Queen[]

On May 1, they announced 2 singles "Look" and "Wannabe" to be released on June 2, as pre-releases for their upcoming studio album Retro Queen, set to be released on September 2. Retro Queen was released on the aformentioned date, with the title track "What Happened to Us", "Do we know love" and "Psychotic Love" serving as the title tracks of the album.

2020-present: Sub-units, viral moment, sudden inactivity[]

On February 28, the group announced the formation of the group's promotional units: 5RUSH K, consisting of Jiyeon and Seunga, would promote in Korea exclusively, while 5RUSH G, consisting of Zhao.H and Avaron, would promote globally. Member Aria was announced to be a member of both units due to her being half Korean and half French

On June 27, a compilation of 5RUSH performing for military men went viral on YouTube, causing 5RUSH's sales and views to explode. The next day, the group achieved their first Perfect All Kill (PAK) with "Psychotic Love", as they charted all over Korea and the world. Sales reached a high of 10 million, and the group was complimented for their unique image.

Throughout the rest of 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023, the group has been on an unexpected hiatus. The group was presumed to have disbanded, however member Seunga revealed the group was still together, but they could not contact their company. Fans became furious about the situation, as fans believed this was done to cut contact with the group. The group had begun to be labeled as a group "on the verge of life or death" as their future remains uncertain.
