The 2025 Hangang Artistry Awards will take place at the Hangang Center in December 2025. the ceremony is operated by the Musician's Union of Seoul and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and honors the best music recordings, compositions, and artists between November 2024 and October 2025.
Background[]
On June 16, 2025, the Hangang Artistry Awards announced several new updates for the 2025 ceremony:
- The total nominees for Best K-pop Solo Album and Best K-pop Duo/Group Album have been increased from six to eight, citing the need to recognize more quality albums in an increasingly busy decade of the K-pop industry.
- The Best Record Label category has been retired once again, due to complications regarding "finding neutrality in the nomination and voting process". This leaves Navis Columba as the sole winner of the category during its one-year revival.
- The Rankdown Best Live Performance Award has been split into the Best Live Vocal/Rap Performance and Best Live Dance Performance categories.
